How many times have we posted this scripture? Refer to post 110 for the last time it was posted. Especially pay close attention to James 5:14-16. How did I attack your character? How did I attack your faith? Reminding you that Jesus told his disciples that they could not cast out the demon and bring healing to the perosn because of their unbelief (or lack of faith, depending oun what translation you use) is not an assault on your faith. It is a statement of fact that you can interpret any way you like.

We do not dictate to God. He made promises and we in Faith fully believe Him to keep His Word.

What scriptural support do you have for your premise that healing has nothing to do with the faith of the person being healed. To truly believe this, one must leave the Gospels out of the Bible.
The Woman with the issue of blood? Need I go on and on and on?

The troubke with this one-demensional thinking is this:

And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
    (John 9:2-3)

Your ways are not above God's ways, nor your thoughts above God's thoughts. God may or may not cure a person; you are not to judge their level of faith or obedience to God by their physical state. If we went down that road, I could easily blame most people's ailments on not trusting God and eating the garbage God said not to.

Who says it's about dictating? Do we dictate to God when we receive salvation from sin . . . or does He just give freely?

Are you addressing my statements for discussion purposes? Is there something about my comments you do not understand? Did you know that the same word used extensively throughout scripture for salvation from sin is also used for physical healing?

God never cured Paul. One thing that kept making me walk away was people said because I was still disabled I didn't have enough faith, this still makes me mad as if they knew me. I am disabled and God has left me that way and I consider it a blessing.

My husband may well be going blind.

My business is gasping for breath.

And someone who knows me not has the audacity to tell me it's because my faith is lacking?

All I can say is pride cometh before a fall. Or a serious box up along side the head.

No worries Vhayes, I have ADD and my son has high functioning autism, so I must be wallowing in unrepented sin and also the cause of my son's disability. Obviously.

Once upon a time, I had a dear friend. Actually he was a friend of both my husband and myself and was a part of our wedding. He was a Viet Nam veteran.

Gary became a part of a group that taught you can claim physical health by having enough faith because Jesus already appropriated that health - a person only needed to claim it as their own. Gary had diabetes and had to take insulin injections to keep it stabilized. Gary was told repeatedly by the head teacher/leader of the group that his faith was lacking - his diabetes was cured at the cross. Gary believed. He believed with all his heart. Gary stopped taking his insulin. Gary died from insulin shock. The teacher told everyone at the funeral that Gary simply did not have enough faith to claim that health that was his for the asking and gee, wasn't that a shame.

I personally thought the man should have been brought up on manslaughter charges. But God had a better plan. The teacher got cancer of the eyes. He died. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

See, that's the thing. You, me, my son, my wife, Vhayes, her husband - we all have disabilities / afflictions - yet GOD HAS HEALED US, just not in the way someone who only looks at the outer appearance would expect. Just the honor to serve Him as we are is an incredible blessiing. God is truely an equal opportunity King!

Your witness is truely a blessiing. Praise God who gets the Glory, blessed be His Name.

May God's peace be upon you.

    The word is sozo . . .

To show you the scriptures would take a LONG time. It is translated 93 times throughout the word as "save", 9 times as "make whole", 3 times as "heal", and 2 times as "be whole" . . .
