"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson
I am wiping away my tears as I typeDeb is a blessing to everyone she touches. Please give her a big hug from me and tell her I love her.

Please tell Debra that me and Bill are praying for her. Also we are praying for Joe and the entire family. I always knew Debra was SO special from talking here on the board. But I treasure the weekend we spent in Athens, when we drove down and got to meet Debra and Joe in person. What a blessing to meet them face to face!
Debra, if you get there before I do, please tell all my friends I'm coming too.....
Love you, Debra!
Judy and Bill
Thank you for your thoughtful update. We are watching daily in prayer here in our fellowship and the fellows will be overjoyed to hear about you and Deb singing.
Stopping by to say I am still praying, and that I love you, Debra! And Joe.
Debra, is there anything I can do for you? Do you still have the 'Bluebird' I gave you, Debra?
Love you, my sweet sister...
Judy
My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16
"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)
Hi Debra! Just checking in and reminding you how much I care!

Glory to the Lord our God
Glory to the Lamb on the throne
We open wide the gates of our hearts
With our lips we rise up and pray
as we worship the Ancient of Days

Praying for you and Wayne as well. This is a tough time for all of you. Debra is a very special person to you and to all of us who have gotten to know here through this board. May the Lord fill her heart with peace and joy as she prepares to be in His presence.
Praying for Joe to be ready to let go when it is time. It is comforting just knowing that the Lord is with them in the midst of everything.
