    Prayers needed for Debra R.

    She is a longtime member of this board and one of my best friends........
    In 2006 she lost her grandson Nathaniel to cancer and now she has been diagnosed with lungcancer herself, and Tuesday they will remove 40% of her left lung...... She is holding on to the Lord to get her through this......
    Please pray for her and her family...... especially on Tuesday......
    I will update when I know more.....

    I pray that God gives her strength and comfort in what can only be a terrifying ordeal for her and her family. I pray that the doctors get out all of the cancer in her treatment and that she is able to live a full life. amen

    Dear Lord,

    None of us want to hear the diagnosis of cancer.....not for ourselves, not for our loved ones, not for our friends. It is soooo scary. But, we know, that you can intervene and bring about a positive outcome. I have seen this with my own eyes. You blessed my father with great doctors, surgeons, medications, and care and he still lives and enjoys life nearly 3 years after his diagnosis of a cancerous brain tumor. Lord, You ARE the great Healer! I ask you to intervene in this lady's life and bring about a healing for her. Please wrap your loving arms about her and give her peace as she awaits Your timing.

    Bringing Debra before the LORD, praying for extra grace for her in this coming operation, relief from suffering, and full and permanent removal of this cancer. Asking that the LORD draw Debra very close to Himself at this time, and will be praying for her family.

    I just now saw this, and please know that Bill and I are already praying for Debra.

    We were fortunate enough to go down last year to Athens where the Parson (Tim) pastors a church and lives with his family. We also met Project Peter (Ken) and his wife and Jennifer. Debra and her husband, Joe, were there visiting at the same time we were there and we attended Tim's church on the same Sunday. She is SO precious, and a wonderful, praying lady. A vibrant witness for her Lord.

    I am praying fervently for Debra, and for Joe!

    Just now saw this thread and I am praying for Debra and her family, especially her daughter. She hasn't posted in a while and I was wondering if everything was okay. Please keep us posted and giver her our love

    I just got an email from Debra..... they discovered the cancer "by accident" when she was going to a pre op-appointment for surgery on her neck.......
    She has met the surgeon and is very happy with the fact that he's a Christian too!
    Deb's husband will keep me updated, and I will update here as soon as I know something....... I will copy this thread and put it in the email that I am sending back to Deb today.....

    Dear Lord,

    I come today asking that You bless this family with healing, peace and comfort...I know Lord that You have blessed with a Christian doctor, but I also know as the Great Physician, You can heal without the use of these doctors..but thank You, Lord for providing this Christian doctor as a means of comfort and encouragement to the family..I ask Lord that You take this precious family into Your loving arms and to take care of this cancer..either by healing completely or by a successful surgery removing the cancer..I also pray, Lord for a fast recovery without pain...

    I have been praying for her since this was discovered..but I was told it was just a small lump in her lung and that they didn't even know it was cancer..I had no idea it was this bad. My gosh..

    Yes please keep us updated.
