I praise God with you! And for you!

That was a very tough surgery. I am doing remarkably well, and recovering more every day.
I bet it was...... I am glad you're doing so well.......

I will see the oncologist on Feb 3rd at 3:30. I will update on what the next step will be and when.
I have put it on my calender and Charles will put an alarm in his computer so that we pray at the right time for you when you're at the doc's office!

Thank you each and everyone for your prayers for us. They are greatly appreciated. God bless you all greatly.
I will continue to pray for you, and send you tons of cards! May God bless you abundantly!

    Love you lots,
    Mieke

Just a reminder for Deb's appointment on Wed. The oncologist used to work for Sloan-Kettering ((well known hospital)). Before the call to the doctor/surgeon about who she would see Joe and she prayed for who the Lord would send her to.

The doctor that the surgeon or doctor recommended was going on vacation. So she ended up with this oncologist! A very good one with many yrs of experience!

Praise God for never leaving Deb's side and taking care of her..
9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Thank you dear family for all of your prayers.
I tried to post earlier but was not feeling good, had some nausea from the pain meds. But feeling better right now.

The doctors visit went well. I had been quite nervous before I went. Though I most certainly felt your prayers, they gave me courage and comfort. Dr. Luedke was very nice, compassionate and explained things well. Though it was frightening to hear what he had to say. Even though the mass in my lung was very small he explained with that type of cancer there are 100's of thousands of cancer cells in that small tumor. And because it had spread to lymph nodes in my lung that it is possible it has already spread to other lymph nodes in my body. And the best way to combat it is to do chemotherapy. Which they will give my body time to heal from the surgery before we start. So we will probably start chemo in about 4 weeks. Though I am scheduled to do an MRI of my brain to check for cancer cells there. (That is for tomorrow afternoon at 6:00 p.m.) That was frightening to think about. But I will keep the hope that there is no cancer in my brain or anywhere else. And I will trust in God. I know He is with me every step of the way.

I asked Dr. Luedke if he was a Christian and by his reply I dont believe he is. He only asked did it matter. I just repled that Joe and I are Christian and that we had asked the Lord on who to see and we had been led to him .
Though it made me sad that he is not Christian, (I would have felt better if he was) he is an excellent doctor and I will trust him because God led me to him. And I hope I will be a testimony for God to him. As well as all others I will meet as I go through this battle with cancer.

I go back to the doctor on the 18th, too see surgeon for follow up and see the oncologist nurse practictioner for chemo regimine. And will see Dr. Luedke on the 24th. I will update later as I know more.

I do so appreciate all of your prayers. Thank you and may our God bless you all greatly.
I am thankful to our God for all of you.

    Love, Deb

Will certainly be praying for the upcoming MRI, and watching as you prepare for your chemo therapy course.

Asking the LORD confidently for intervention and extra grace for you as you meet these challenges.

Praying this morning for delivery from pain as you continue to recover from surgery, and relief from medication sickness.
