I am so very thankful for everyone's prayers.
Thank you laura for updating. I thank our God for all of you.

I finished my 4th chemo yesterday. Four more to go! I'm half way there! praise God!

I don't remember if I told what my diagnosis was. They say I have Adenocarcinoma non-small cell lung cancer. Anyway, I had to get 8 chemos and I just finished number 4. Woohoo!

They are in 21 day cycles. Like on the first day of the cycle I get 2 different chemos together, Cisplatin and Navelbine. That is the worst. Takes a week to recuperate, then the next week I just get Navelbine and its not so bad. Then a week off and start chemo cycle again. Yesterday I got the navelbine. I'm doing okay and so thankful to our God. They have changed some of my meds and thats heped a lot with nausea. Now if we could get rid of the headaches, what a blessing that would be. Sometimes they are pretty bad. And they could be from anything, side effects from chemo, nausea meds, who knows. Though they are having me monitor my blood pressure for a week, it has been high when I go to clinic and I may need blood pressure meds.

I am so thankful I'm half way finished! My blood counts have stayed good so far too.

Thanks Bandit! I am taking my vitamins!

And I haven't lost any weight. Actually I gained a few pounds. And I still have my hair!
I had Joe cut it real short so it wouldn't be so bad when it fell out but I'm amazed I still have it.

Our God is good and He is getting me through this. I thank Him for all of you. God bless you all greatly.

    Hi there,

I know this has not been fun, but you are half-way through. I am glad you are taking some vitamines (and I hope they are good ones - let me know if you need any advice). As far as the headaches, grape seed extract is a very good antioxident (and one of the few that can pass through the blood-brain barrier). I took it for my headaches/chemo-fog and it (among some other things) did help. I think you said you got that book I recommended by Dr. Strand. I hope it has helped. He talks about grape seed extract. I want however long you have left on this earth to be as good as possible. Like I tell everyone - including my oncologist - I want to die healthy. That is my prayer for you too - to die healthy - and hopefully many years down the road!

Thank you all so very much for your prayers.

I just got home from the cancer center. Had the big chemo today. This is number 5 so 3 more to go! Praise God!

I have an appointment at 5:00 this afternoon for another CT scan. I'm still having headaches everyday so they want to do scan on my brain. I'll be seeing primary care doctor on thursday. My blood pressure is staying on the high side.

Tomorrow I go back to cancer clinic and do more anti nausea meds and hydration. The day after the big chemo is always the worst.

I'm hanging in there and relying on our Lord. I'm going to get through this!

I greatly appreciate all of your prayers. Thank you.

I'm glad you got nr. 5 behind you now...... See, I told you that you could get through this... I know it's hard my dear sweet special sister, but I also know that with Daddy nothing is impossible!

I'm working on another card for you, but I need Tina's help and she's not feeling well, so I probably send you another one first..... I just got new material and expect more tomorrow or Wednesday......

Hang in there girlie...... you're almost there! We just prayed for your CT-scan..... Let us know when you have the results, ok?

    Love you very much girl!

I'm sorry I have been slow on updating. I do so appreciate all your prayers. Our Lord is answering too. I've been doing better. I still haven't lost my hair . I saw the oncologist yesterday and told him how surprised I was that I didn't lose my hair, he said he was surprised too. And I've even gained weight being on chemo, about 13 lbs.
I did the last big chemo yesterday, it was the two chemo's, next monday I do the one chemo and I'm finished! Praise God! I am so thankful. I'm doing better from the big chemo too, usually the day after is tough, I went in this morning for more anti nausea meds and hydration through IV and that helps. So I'm feeling pretty well right now. Our God is good. I am so thankful!

Thank you all for your prayers. God bless you!
