Grandfather in hospital

My Granddad Ray Little has just been out of the hospital like 3 days from pneumonia and a feeding tube being put in and this morning he just went back via ambulance. They are gonna admit him with a blood clot in his lung. His 83rd birthday is tomorrow. I want him to get better. I don't want to lose my Granddaddy.

Sorry to hear of this, and yes, praying for your Grandad, Ray, this afternoon, asking that they would be able to safely remove that clot. Praying, also, that he will be able to function without a feeding tube.

They ruled out the blood clot. They want to do a biopsy in the morning. They are thinking cancer. I'm not sure that it looks too good.

They are saying cancer. They think the one he had 8 years ago has returned. Waiting for the cancer dr.

The cancer is in his lungs now. They think he is too weak for chemo. The cancer doctor is coming tomorrow to discuss options.

The cancer doctor said the masses in his lungs are large and that he is too weak to undergo treatment. The best thing they can do for him is pain managment and antibiotics if he gets infections. They said his quality of life would be better that way. They are gonna send him home. Don't know about hospice yet. They said it would take months to get him strong enough to endure treatment. Dad said Granddad said "he is ready to go up." and that Nanny is being strong.

He is home now and under hospice care. Family that is still able to travel are coming up to see him. He's having some sort of spells. It's scarry.

Very sorry to know of your Granddad's condition. Praying this evening and will continue to watch in prayer as you and your family prepare for his eventual going home to be with the LORD.

Asking that the LORD draw your Granddad very close to Himself during this difficult time, comforting him greatly. Praying for relief from suffering and pain.

Praying that the LORD give you and all your loved ones, especially Nanny, extra grace and strength as you all face this circumstance of loss.
