What sort of things do you "collect"?

I used to collect ancient Roman and Greek coins and though I still have them I have a hard time financing a collection of that nature. There just always seems to be something better to spend my money on (like rent haha). More recently, it seems I collect coffee cups, this was unintentional, but I have more coffe cups than any other vessel in my cupboards! I try to get a cup from every new place I go, my favorite being from Mote Marine Aquarium.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

We're having a race in our house..... Charles is crazy about penguins, and has a bunch of stuffed ones, ceramic ones and a ton of penguincards that me and my friend Tina made for him.....
I on the other hand am crazy about giraffes...... I have a few stuffed ones, one with a microwave pad to keep me warm, and some cards, but my collection is not as big as hubby's is.......

It's not a real battle....... they have made peace with each other.......

    Love you lots,
    Mieke

I don't tend to collect things these days, once I realised that instead of appreciating each individual item I gradually got less and less pleasure out of owning the collection and it seemed more like hoarding than collecting.

I've been looking to simplify my lifestyle for a while now, so collections seem like a good way of soaking up cash without offering a lot of benefit for it.

I know this is going to come as a big shock, but I collect Bibles, guns and old/antique fire gear.

On reflection I do tend to keep short-term collections. This time of year I usually collect nettle stings, mosquito bites and scratches from assorted spiky and prickly plants. Over the winter I lose the collection, which gives me the opportunity to start collecting the following summer.

I collect glassware - specifically kitchenware and tableware. But I use it, it doesn't sit in the china cabinet collecting dust. The mixing bowls I use for every day are about 70 years old, the creamer and sugar containers that are put out after dinner in the dining room are close to one hundred years old. They are beautiful and I enjoy looking at them and using them. None of the items cost much when thy were new (pressed and molded glass for the most part) but I so enjoy them. I also have ceramic and pottery pieces that get used daily that are old. One thing I use frequently is a meat platter that was a local product. My mother worked at the pottery and this one was a "second" that she had put the decals on before it was fired. The decal is a little crooked at the edge and didn't make it as a saleable item.

I collect antique Schwinn bicycles and restore them.
If Satan can keep us busy swinging our swords at one another, there is no hope of a united attack on the kingdom of darkness. KJV, NIV, ESV or ABCDEFG; there is no time to bicker over such things. We'll devour each other if allowed to continue. We should grab the marching orders written in the way we best understand and get to work.

I have a large magnet collection on the fridge.

Other than that would purses and jewelry count?

I forgot to add that I have a small collection of snow globes.

I used to collect stamps back in the day.

These days, I seem to collect kids and lost sheep ... baaaaaaah.

I also collect dust bunnies and fat deposits in strange places. Both are a neverending battle.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!
