Ya never know what seeds can be planted even out of something such as this....
    That's a pretty awesome reponse!

To the OP. What I like to do when i remember (sometimes i tune it out) is to say a quick prayer in my head for that person. It is offensive but if they aren't Christian what can i really expect. At the very least it gives me a moment to pray.

Living by example is good too. People notice what comes out of our mouth as well.

^ Very nice words of wisdom !
Why are you searching for love? Why are you still looking as if I'm not enough?

Re: Getting really really really bothered by this

Sorry to bump an old thread but I had a recent experience that is quite relevant to this.

My thoughts on the subject matter first of all is yes, do not use the Lord's name in vain but... maybe the "free advertisement" will get someone? I don't know. God works in mysterious ways. If someone completely unfamiliar with Christ watches a movie where they hear "JESUS CHRIST!" they might ask themselves "Who is this Jesus guy?" and google it. It's amazing how many movies has a "JESUS CHRIST!" line. I think nearly every movie has it come up at least one time.

Anyway, this past weekend my non-Christian brother and girlfriend treated me to dinner and a movie. Now the movie was rated-R and I know different Christians will have different beliefs about whether a Christian should go to a movie like "TED" or not. It's the (raunchy) comedy about a boy's Christmas wish coming true that his teddy bear would come to life. I am able to separate an R movie from real life and not fall into sin, so I use my discernment whenever. Anyway, although TED was raunchy, it did have a few Jesus moments that went beyond "JESUS CHRIST!" (although there were about 5 of those lines)

In the middle of the film a guy approached the teddy bear and asked him if he was alone.

Ted responded "Well, you're never alone with Christ."

It amazed me, haha. Even in the middle of this raunchy film, there was a moment of pro-Christianity (a few throughout, in fact). After we walked out, my brother and his GF repeated the line to me, knowing obviously that I'm Christian and that I take it pretty seriously. They said it not mockingly, either. In fact, anytime I'm with them anytime Jesus comes up or related they'll look at me and say "Christianity!" or something. It's a start! So I truly believe God can work in any format in any shape.

    Yes!!!!
    He CAN!!!
I have watched movies where they even try very hard to remove any trace of Him, and He is still there!

The real issue comes from having an expectation that the unregenerated will behave as one who has been born again. Shoot, we redeemed types have a hard enough time with it as many of argue against things like "being holy", and "living righteously" and the like. Being saved is all sweet fluffy stuff but don't tell me about being a disciple and the costs of discipleship, that's legalism!
