    Prayer for this forum

    Dear Father,

I want to thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to save people from our sins. I want to thank You that we live in the days of grace and the age of the New Covenant that is built on the foundation of Your Son and ratified by His own blood. God, bring this to our remembrance again. Remind us Who we belong to. I want to thank You that You gave us Your Spirit, who is the greatest Apologist and Evangelist of the ages and ages, whose power no-one can resist, whose truth no-one can refute, who is always working with people to bring them to the foot of the cross to lay down their burden of sin, receive Your great mercy and forgiveness, and rise again in new life and as a child of God.

I ask that You forgive us where we have lost sight of this, God. I ask that You would bring conviction to Your children and open our eyes that with us, we have the Comforter, the Helper, the One Jesus sent to help us fulfill the Great Commission of going into the highways and byways and compel others to come into Your Kingdom. I thank You that You have promised that You would never leave us nor forsake us, and that You would be with us until the end of the ages, and I am taking You at Your Word and ask that You would impart us again with Your Spirit and Your great power to seek and save those which are lost, to become laborers in Your great harvest, to set aside our own ways and wants and methods and arguments, and rely fully on You to work within those around us Your great miracle of salvation.

God, I thank You for the many here who are faithfully sharing the Gospel with their friends and families and the people in their lives that You have burdened them for. We are surrounded by darkness that is inside people's hearts and minds and that is blinding them towards Your truth of the Gospel. Pour Your light inside of us, God. Help us see You for who You really are, Lord. Help us realize that we serve a glorified Savior whose power has never been diminished and whose mercy hasn't either. I pray that where sin abounds, You would let grace about much more to help people confess their sin and make things right and embrace the cross and walk with You and learn of You. I ask that You would use this forum to help us all become worthy laborers in Your harvest, to help us become worthy representatives of this great Gospel message that You have entrusted us with. That Jesus would shine through us. That Your Spirit would rest upon us and live with us and speak to us and empower us to stand firm for the truth of Your Gospel and live in it and walk in it and touch others with it. That we would never deny Your name, Jesus. That we would always walk worthy of the calling that we have received. That we would never stop looking to You for everything we need, to give us the answers for a lost world so they too can know You for who You truly are, and repent and be saved.

    In Jesus' name.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!

    Father,
You are the Holy One, Eternal and complete in your life and goodness, holiness and righteousness, fullness of being, and love! We praise you!
Most of all, Father, we praise you for your Son Jesus Christ, and for sending Him to us, to be with us, to bring us to you, to take away our sin, and to transform us and bring us into Your life and your kingdom!

Father, only You can bring women and men, children and youth, to You, by Your Holy Spirit! And this is the most important thing: that Your will should be done, Your Kingdom come, Your name be Hallowed -- it is ever Hallowed! -- and that people find You, and know you as our Father!

Lord, this comes by Your help, and supernatural grace, and we desire, Lord, that we may do our part, giving ourselves to You, as living sacrifices, our spiritual worship.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians that they were his letter of commendation; and we know Lord that our best thoughts and arguments -- though it is important that we learn how to commend the hope that is in us, rationally and intelligently, and by pointing to You and Your word -- include a quiet and loving. courageous and honest, spirit, through which people may be won to you even without a word. We are often so far from Your heart, Your goodness, Lord. So we pray that you would be at work, in all us in this forum, to enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may winsomely and truly confess Your goodness and majesty, in our lives and the tone of our words, as well as in our reasoning, and our hearts' and minds' grasp and confession of your Scriptures, and our testimony to Jesus Christ!

Help us, and work in our hearts and minds and lives with Your love and power!
    Amen.
