Venison,how many ways do you cook it?

Now that it is almost hunting season,how many ways have you cooked venison? I have made it in meatloaf,spagetti sauce,fajitas,steak(venison)fingers,pot roast,grilled, venison chili,venison burgers,etc. I'd love to make vension sausage but I don't know how.I can't afford to have it processed by a butcher,so I'll have to do it myself.Whoops,I forgot,I make some mean deer jerky as well.How many ways do you,or have cooked venison?

Jerky is great.
Slow, slow cooked stew with lots of taters, onions, carrots, and a little dill is great.
But my favorite is pounded flat like weinersnitzel, then soaked in milk for an hour, then dipped in buttermilk, flour, and fried. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Every year, I shoot several deer. Most of it is made into hamburger. We use that in about every way you use regular hamburger. We make jerky from some of it. We use the tenderloins for the finer dishes. As far as stew, I shoot a yearling every year just for stew meat. YUM!

I was going to post that I've cooked and eaten it every way you can but I've never even heard of venison "soaked in milk for an hour, then dipped in buttermilk, floured, and fried" so.......

You remember in the movie Forrest Gump when Bubba named off a about 100 different ways to prepare Shrimp? That is about how many different ways I prepare Deer meat.

My favorite preparation is smoked.
