Thread: God brought us through it!

    God brought us through it!

    You may recall my numerous postings asking for prayer and encouragement due to a stressful legal situation my husband and I were involved in through no fault of our own. I am happy to say PRAISE GOD, hopefully everything is resolved and we are being relieved of this enormous burden. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.

    Psalm 124 (New International Version)

    Psalm 124

    A song of ascents. Of David.

    1 If the LORD had not been on our side—
    let Israel say-
    2 if the LORD had not been on our side
    when men attacked us,
    3 when their anger flared against us,
    they would have swallowed us alive;
    4 the flood would have engulfed us,
    the torrent would have swept over us,
    5 the raging waters
    would have swept us away.
    6 Praise be to the LORD,
    who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
    7 We have escaped like a bird
    out of the fowler's snare;
    the snare has been broken,
    and we have escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

    He is still God. He is still the God of miracles, and he alone can make a way even when there is no way. And he specializes in making a way out or through!

    I am so-o-o happy for you. (I guess that means I can scratch that request off my list, and just write 'answered' beside it.)
    My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16

    "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

    Yes, this situation was one that at times seemed impossible - and if we had to face it alone it may very well have been. Just be aware that you can be going along and living your life thinking everything is OK and BOOM, somebody out there can come up with a reason to sue you, legitimate or not. This was something that seemed to drop out of the sky and has negatively affected our quality of life for almost a year. Things like this make you realize to be thankful for every bit of normalcy. I've learned due to many situations in my life to appreciate those ho-hum days when nothing exciting may be happening but everything is just OK. The Lord has shown me time and time again that I need to trust Him. It's hard to convince my human mind not to worry, though. Hopefully this will help me to get better at overcoming that.
