For forty years, as our ancestors traversed the Sinai Desert prior to their entry into the Holy Land, miraculous "clouds of glory" surrounded and hovered over them, shielding them from the dangers and discomforts of the desert

[May ADONAI lift up his face toward you and give you peace.]'

'n Feestelike Fees vir jou Francois

Ek kom nou net terug van 'n Feesfiering af..... Hallelujah!!

What is Sukkot all about? (Lev 23:33-44)

The Festival of Sukkot is very meaningful, as one of the "yamim Modadim" (appointed days of the L-rd) the last one before "Simchat Torah" it is one that will be celebrated during the Millenium reign of Messiah Yeshua.

Sukkot, or "Feast of Tabernacles" is the "ingathering" of the harvest crops, some consider it the "Thanksgiving" week in Bible times (but without the turkey and dressing, what a shame!!) The israelites brought their fruits, harvest wheat, and it was a joyful time, but there is still more meaning behind this. it was the time, and IS the time we remember our G-d who dwelt among his people. He "tabernacled" among His people in the desert. He dwelt in the tabernacle made of wood poles, fabric, and animal skins, behind the "Holy of Holies, his presence manifested through the "Shekeinah glory"

about 1500 years later, he manifested himself in the flesh, in Yeshua, coming to earth at this very time of the "Feast of Tabernacles" it is unfortunate that christians still adhere to the "christmas" festival in December, which was started by Constantine, saying it is Messiah's birthday, But what is important is that he DID come to dwell among His people in the flesh, and ministered to the sick, the needy, and to give hope to the hopeless, many were looking for a "warrior Messiah" to kick out the Romans, instead, He came to kick out the curse of sin and death.

During the time of Sukkot, on the eighth day of "Shemini Atzeret" when the priests brought pot fulls of water from the pool of Siloam to pour them out at the altar, Yeshua spoke and said, "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me as the scripture that said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water"
(Mayim Chayim = Yeshua) (John 7:37,38). In Isaiah 12:3 the prophet writes: "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation, (Yeshuah).

This is time of joy, that we rejoice because we have the presence of Yeshua with us through the Ruach Ha Kodesh, and we are the harvest of Messiah Yeshua, who cast forth the seed of His Word, sending forth His Living Water, so let us rejoice in His presence always, and again we can say "Hag Sameach Sukkot"

Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge ... give place to God's wrath. For it is written "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"

    Isa. 30:32
And every blow of the rod of punishment, which the Lord will lay on him, will be with the music of tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them

G_d was gracious He has shown favor

Klink lekker tannie.

Ek stem saam. Die Lam is reeds geslag, and thus we can celebrate!
