For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? ~ Deuteronomy 5:26

Not at all.
1) He admitted that the sermon was truth.
2) When asked, he said he found nothing un-biblical about the sermon.
3) He complained that us mega-church pastors come to churches like his and preach sermons and then go back to our comfy mega-churches and have no idea what it is like to have to get into the trenches.
4) A host of people told me that it was the PERFECT sermon for this particular time in that church. Without any previous discussion between us, the music, the special singing, and the message all were on theme.
5) 2 months prior to preaching, I told my wife that that particular church was going to call. When she asked how I knew, I told her that I had gotten a sermon for them. Sure enough, they called. I hadn't preached at that church in almost 2 years.

It's amazing how the Lord works behind the scenes in ways we never know unless we are obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. On your end, a message and on their end... a need and calling specifically the one who God intended to speak through to them. God is Good.

My sincere condolensces in these cases; but I'm not sure what you mean. Were they moderate consumption believers, alcoholic believers, killed in an accident they caused while consuming, or victims of an accident caused by someone else consuming?
Alcohol-related deaths are tragic, but pale numerically in comparison to food/obesity/gluttony-related deaths. Most alcohol-related deaths are due to the combination of drinking and driving; impaired driving being the problem.
(I am not advocating alcohol, just refusing to go beyond Scripture and mandate universal abstinence.)
