    Prayers and advise..and just letting you know what is going on with me

    Warnings...this is yucky female stuff...

    As some of you know I have been going through perimenopausal for the last two years and am having a rough time of it. The doctor seems to have to increase or change the HTR medication I have been on about every six months or so...still inspite of the problems the hot flashes and night sweats and anxiety aren't nearly as bad as when this first started. But I go through spells where I am just sick...can't sleep..all sorts of problems.

    But any today I had an appointment (which was moved up) because I am having so many problems. She took me off the latest HTR she was trying which was a patch and I am trying femhrt now. I know its spelled weird. Anyway one of the problems is right before she switched me to this I had started spotting...got on this and had a regular period, which I haven't had a period in a long time. Anyway I keep having spotting problems so they did a pap smear and an Endometrial biopsy. To try to find out why I am spotting so much like this. It could be my hormones are out of whack..which I think they are...or cancer or possibly from a fibroid the doctor thinks she found during the examine. So now I have to go in for a sonogram to see if its a fibroid ..then what I don't know. Its its causing the spotting and that's all..not affecting me too much I don't see why it can't be left alone as what I am reading is as a woman goes through menopause it will shrink and just literally go away on its own.

    http://www.health.harvard.edu/newswe..._menopause.htm
    Oh I found this: Uterine bleeding problems. With less progesterone to regulate the growth of the endometrium, the uterine lining may become thicker before it’s shed, resulting in very heavy periods. Also, fibroids (benign tumors of the uterine wall) and endometriosis (the migration of endometrial tissue to other pelvic structures), both of which are fueled by estrogen, may become more troublesome. troublesome he says....!!! naw...

    Anyway...the doctor talked about taking me off of HRT all together as she doesn't think its helping much, in which I went like this.. This is better then it was, but yea, things aren't going very well...so I am on the verge of trying natural estrogen and progesterone and wanted advise from those that have used those creams before. I have used the progesterone cream when my body was normal... It stopped the truly horrible PMS I was having and the horrible cramps. It was wonderful!

    But I haven't used the estrogen cream. Now we have talked about natural treatment for this before, but I really can't afford to buy a bunch of stuff...pills, herbs, vitamins. If I can keep it down to those two things that last longer then a month too, then I could afford that. This is what I would like to check out plus of course please share any information about anything I have mentioned here too.

    One of the problems I have been having is a very upset stomach. Just hurting..or very upset. Not really heart burn and it doesn't match ulcers so I don't think its that. And diarrhea and constipation. From what I read the fibroid can cause constipation.. I told the doc about this but she thought I needed to talk to my regular doctor about that. But after I got home I looked and saw that patch can cause all the stomach problems I have been having. All of them can actually and cause spotting too... So who knows, maybe I am just having side affects from this HTR.

    So anyway I would appreciate your prayers and any advise too of course. One of the other things is feeling so horribly tired ...probably only two or three days out of the week do I feel ok. Part of that is the nights I don't sleep well of course but even when I do I still feel so tired. Its a real struggle to get through the days sometimes...well alot of times. Oh and no I really don't think I have cancer at all. I think its all this other stuff so I am not worried about that at all.

    God bless

    Thanks dear. I had the Endometrial biopsy yesterday and she said they would have the results in three to four days. Next is the sonogram and I guess depending on what they find on that...whether any more tests will be done or not.

    Thanks all..I have to say I was a bit upset with her yesterday...its confusing and upsetting when they tell you one thing at one visit and something else at another. I would like for you all to pray for her too and not put off some of my issues as not part of all of this...thanks.

    God bless

    Moonglow,

    What type of progesterone cream are you using? You need to get one that is paraben free. I'm going to paste a post that I made here. Perhaps it will help you. Also, I don't think estrogen cream is needed. Usually the lacking part is progesterone.

    Hi Jayne,

    I have endometriosis and I know that ablation technique is not the best for endo as it does not remove the whole endo and that technique can actually hide/cover the deeper parts of endo. I had the endo cut off instead. So I'm wondering whether ablation technique may be the best in your case (although yours is not endo). I'm going to attach David Redwine's website (he's one of the best in endo surgery), hopefully there will be an article or some info. on why ablation is not a good technique for certain things.

    Maybe you want to research whether in your case using progesterone cream might help. Progest cream by Emrita --if its paraben free is a pretty good brand (pls note it needs to be free from paraben). (Do not use progesterone with any hormones). Pls note wild yam cream and progesterone cream is different despite what some websites might say.

    Currently I am not using any progesterone cream because I am on hormones..though at times when I was struggling to sleep at night I would put a tiny bit on my skin and it would help. I don't know why you wouldn't think I wouldn't need estrogen cream though when that is one of the things that lowers in a woman's body as she goes through menopause...and it helps stop the hot flashes and night sweats, etc.

    I don't have Endometriosis..it kind of sounds like you thought I did? I don't though. sorry for the confusion. I am just menopausal...lol.

    Sorry, I thought that the endometriosis test have not come out yet, so you may have them. Guess I got it wrong. Anyway, I just wholesale copied a previous post of mine instead of editing out certain parts that may not be relevant to you. I did reseach a few years back, so I cannot remember many things. But if I'm not mistaken, while many people think that they lack estrogen at your stage, its usually the progesterone that's needed (if my memory is correct). I attached a link to Dr John Lee's website. He did a fair bit of research and I think it will help you. Not sure how much of it will help you though the website or his books but I think if you can afford the time, why not look through it.

    While modern medicine loves to give us hormones, the better way I feel is through using natural means like progesterone. This is just my view based on the reseach that I've done. Sorry if I could not be of more help.

    No the test they didn't wasn't to see if I had Endometriosis which is this:

    Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that behaves like the cells lining the uterus (endometrium) grows in other areas of the body, causing pain, irregular bleeding, and possible infertility.

    Pain is the main symptom for women with endometriosis. This can include:

    * Painful periods
    * Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic cramps that can be felt for a week or two before menstruation
    * Pain in the lower abdomen felt during menstruation (the pain and cramps may be steady and dull or severe)
    * Pain during or following sexual intercourse
    * Pain with bowel movements
    * Pelvic or low back pain that may occur at any time during the menstrual cycle

    My periods had actually stopped..I am just spotting and they took a sample of my endometrial (which is just the name they call the lining of the uterus) to see why I am spotting and once did have a normal period after a very long time of not having any at all. It wasn't heavy, it didn't hurt..nothing like described with Endometriosis.

    https://health.google.com/health/ref/Endometriosis
    Endometrial biopsy is a procedure in which a tissue sample is taken from the lining of the uterus (endometrium), and is checked under a microscope for any abnormal cells or signs of cancer. It goes on to say the spotting can be caused by Uterine fibroids which the doctor thinks she found one during the examine and why I have to go in for a sonogram to see if it is and how large it is..she thought it was pretty small. I really don't fit the criteria for Endometrial cancer at all though.

    Anyway yea the two words are similar..Endometrial and Endometriosis..easy to mix up. My sister sadly does have the latter one and has had surgery for it.

    Your other information though is helpful though because like I said, if this latest HRT doesn't work I think I need to think about going all natural for sure. The thing is though when the hot flashes started and the night sweats and all of that I was using just progesterone cream because it helped so much with my PMS and pretty much stopped the cramping. I would use it every month until my period started. It didn't help at all when this whole menopause thing hit me. Which is why I went to the doctor in the first place. Which is why I am asking about estrogen cream too.

    I hope I didn't totally confuse you! Sometimes I explain things badly...

    God bless

    Well, unfortunately, if you do good with the purple, they are going to turn you orange. They say it's a promotion. I think they just like making people look like pumpkins.
