    Demonstrate : Worship

*. How do you (personally) demonstrate your worship to God?
**. If you say:" Lord I worship You". ...then worship is a word that means action, how do you worship??
Fenris: "There are two ways to shoot an arrow into a bulls-eye You can shoot the arrow into the bulls-eye or you can shoot the arrow and paint the bulls-eye wherever it hits"

Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge ... give place to God's wrath. For it is written "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"

    Isa. 30:32
And every blow of the rod of punishment, which the Lord will lay on him, will be with the music of tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them

By doing (or trying to) what He says to do, every day.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Yes, and also I would like to add: Amen !

I have a friend who suffers constant pain, not just constant pain, but constant pain all over the body, along with her husband. They both suffer way more than their fair share. (in my opinion)
And, they both still trust, trust and obey, trust and obey and minister to their fellows, trust and obey and minister to their fellows and love Father and their fellows, all of their fellows.

...That demonstrates worship the way Father describes worship. (in my opinion)

    Father bless.

You worship God in song, prayer, lifestyle and even in giving. Anything we do for Him and directed at Him is worship

    Re: Demonstrate : Worship

This is just my very, very humble opinion based on what I have read in the Bible.

There were a lot of activities in the Bible that accompanied worship - singing, being silent, dancing, shouting, falling down prostrate, lifting up of hands, prayer .... etc. There are a lot of activities today that accompany worship - dedicating babies, fasting, reading the Bible, serving others before your own needs .... etc.

But the activity that accompanies worship isn't worship. The activity can vary - GREATLY.

To me worship is 3 things:

    1. Romans 12:1 - This says that our spiritual act of worship is to lay our bodies down as a living sacrifice. Which is to give God control every single morning of everything that makes us human.
    2. Romans 12:2 - We can only accomplish this transformation of going from worldly creatures to discerning the will of God creatures by the renewing of our minds.
    3. When we transform our minds and lay it all down - then we are in a place of complete obedience.

It isn't the singing, the bowing of the head, the shouting, or the fasting.

Worship is the obedient heart and mind.

The activity is only important in the sense of asking ourselves - has God initiated this worship activity in my heart?

God initiates all worship - we can only respond in obedience to Him in all things.

If any of you remember any of my older posts, you'll know that when it comes time to sing in church, I don't exactly jump up and bellow out the tunes!

I worship through obedience, prayer, studying the Bible, musing over the Bible and various concepts, attending church and youth group, seeking ways to give back to the kingdom (besides tithing, I also want to put my programming skills to use) and fellowshipping on places like here.

God has created us all different, with the instruction to worship....

Lam 3:41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
