    Lack of water.

    Lack of anyone else around.

Dying before you get to the water.

Medical condition that precluded the exposure.

    Lots of stuff.

Yeah, I would have figured this would be obvious. There are even people who are allergic to water (it's rare). Are these people just out of luck then and can't be saved? I don't believe so.

No water around. Go to a desert and fight in a war and you will see.

But every Christian in the NT, regardless of circumstances was allowed time and opportunity to be immersed in water – the NT does not know of an un-baptized Christian. Do you think anyone reading this post would not be able to be baptized in water if they chose to do so? If one chooses not to be baptized are they in obedience to the command of Christ to be baptized ion water? Does God require baptism in water knowing that those who believe and repent cannot be baptized? Is that how God works? Or does God allow man the opportunity to do what He requires?

Sorry, you can't have it both ways. Now you've got God being manipulated into keeping dying people alive in the desert long enough to stumble into an oasis.

And, since Jesus died before the thief on the Cross, thereby ratifying and signing the New Covenant in his blood, then yes, there is an example of a New Testament believer that was not baptized in water, but I expect to see him in heaven.

Hey, let me post this scripture again... just for GP and the fact that I'm sure God wants His truth in this thread along with LH's false doctrine all throughout the thread!!

I mean... we gotta shine the truth in here even if it gets ignored and LH tries to overshadow God's FULL COUNSEL, with that false doctrine of his.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”[f] 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

As Peter said in Acts, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to the man who asked what they must do to be saved

Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Christ told us you must believe and be Baptized.

"He who believes and is baptized will be saved."
So you have to decide for yourself

As the fathers Abraham, Issac and Jacob had promises from God. Is the promise that Christians have in Jesus the promise of being saved? The saved that may or may not have something to do with water baptism.

Again - all Christians in the NT were baptized in water - God does not require something that man cannot do and being immersed in water is not hard at all. Did you struggle to be immersed in water or was it an easy task?

And, since Jesus died before the thief on the Cross, thereby ratifying and signing the New Covenant in his blood, then yes, there is an example of a New Testament believer that was not baptized in water, but I expect to see him in heaven.
Jesus forgave the thief before Jesus gave up His spirit. You do not know if the thief was baptized or not - the Baptizer baptized many. The thief died before the command was given by the Lord to be baptized in the name of the triune God. The thief lived and died under the Mosaic system - we do not. Everyone reading this post lives on this side of the Cross and is required by God to be baptized in water.

The thief remains a moot point regarding the ordinance of baptism. It is only brought up by those who try to circumvent God's word. Is baptism from God or from man? Did Jesus command baptism in water? Are we required to obey the commands of Jesus or are they optional as many on this thread suggest?

So the thief was baptized with no belief and then later believed?
