"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson
Hey Moonglow, I'm bumping this thread up, because I think it's important folks know what Christian kids have to contend with. I've been praying for your son, and thinking how difficult things are at the moment for Christian children... then today my own son was subject to spiritual attack too. It seems to me our lads are on a similar spiritual path, and I really hope that people pray for them both.
It makes me wonder how many other Christian kids are out there, being pounded on by the world, the flesh and the devil. Please could people pray for all those kids? Thank you.
Please could everyone pray for Mieke and Charles.

Thanks Daughter and yea, very good idea. I was thinking about your son in fact when all this was going on with Nate because I know he has gone through even worse things..So I was already praying for him but then lapsed in that for a few days...haven't been feeling very well myself. I will be sure to pray for him again and continue to pray for all Christian children and teenagers as they struggle to deal with the day to day sin in this world and not be sucked into it themselves.
I pray daily for all children in general too because of the abuses suffered by so many.
So great idea on this daughter.
God bless

Hey Moonglow... still praying for Nate, the girl concerned, and yourself. I'm glad he had a good time with his Grandpa.
Please could everyone pray for Mieke and Charles.

Thank you. Nate did go to youth group last Wednesday...they have it twice a week. I haven't asked him about tonight yet though if he wants to go or not since he didn't last Sunday. The Wednesday evening one is at a different building and more of an outreach...the Sunday evening one is for the regular church members in which they break up into small groups and do a bible study. He is frustrated with his group though because so many of the boys in it are hyper and won't stop talking...though the leader is cracking down harder on them and making them go do chores elsewhere in the church since they are distrubing the group so much. The leader seems to spend more time on discipline then bible study so Nate is frustrated with that.
But he seems to have gotten over what this girl said to him...hasn't talked anymore about it since that first day...so I think that is good he isn't dwelling on it. Thanks for the prayers.
God bless

Continuing to hold Nate before the Lord, asking for wisdom, strength and extra protection as he goes through these hurtful circumstances.
Praying for this young lady.
