Hallo everyone.
I believe in Jesus Christ who died for me. I believe in the Bible as being the inerrant Word of God, and seriously opposed to any liberal view that would attack the authority and truth of Scripture.
I live in South Africa and my home language is Afrikaans. I grew up in the country and first got to know city life at the age of 17. My work experiences are S.A. Postal Services, S.A. Defence Force and Traffic Control.
Although I grew up in a God fearing home, I gave my life to the Lord anew at the age of 40. At 42 I enrolled for a 7 year study for a degree in Theology at the University at Stellenbosch (Western Cape). I worked myself through those 7 years by giving driving lessons and working night shift every second night as a security guard.
At 49 I qualified as a minister. I am now a healthy pensioner at 77, married for 55 years, still preaching on invitation almost every Sunday, still passionate about preaching the full and true gospel and leading prayer meetings at some old age homes.
I'm in love with humor, singing (especially group harmonising) and music, and regularly play my guitar, steel guitar, clarinet, saxaphone and Yamaha organ. Health conscious but not fanatical.
Oh yes... how did I get here? I was swatting up on earthworms (which I intend to start breeding) when I came across this forum - and joined.
I am looking forward to discussing issues of faith and enjoying humor.
Boy!! Is this old fossil longwinded!!![]()
