God lifted the curse from the ground of the Earth in the times of Noah.
And for that reason large cities like Babble and Egypt were able to flourish and house many slaves.

I think that parts of these are consequences of the changes that were effected in us when we became knowing so to speak. For example pain and worry and being afraid and ashamed.

Even still God's main message is solid. That is if you do what is right and turn away from doing what is wrong then you will be accepted and remembered. I think this was just as true for Adam and Eve as it is for us.
