He walked the earth
Called out to me
Showed us the way
So that I may see
He touched my wound
And I was healed
He calmed the stormy seas
And deep secrets were revealed
He did all this
And much more for me
He was the Son Of God
Does anyone truly believe?
He gave us his love
So that the right way we may learn
Filled our soul with heavenly riches
But the love was never returned
He was rejected and despised
Never uttered a malicious word
Silent tears he cried
The truth he spoke, has anyone heard?
His heart was wounded
He died for you and me
Does anyone have eyes,
Can anyone see?
Does anyone know him
Does anyone love him
Can anyone see him,
As he really is?
He was a man, like you and me
But no one truly understood him
He was broken, forsaken and lowly
"Blessed is he ,that is not offended in me"
He came and he went
Now he is ascended up on high
And he reaches out to us
From beyond the sky
He is ever so true
And pure in his love
He has prepared for us a mansion
In heaven above
He gave us his word
That we may know
Oh Lord, this is a sinful man
Give me strength to believe
For I know not how to follow
He showed us the way
Unto the light of the sun
It showed on his face
For he was the annointed one
"Not by might , not by power,
But by the spirit of the Lord"
"Thy will be done"
That was the message he gave
The door is open to everyone
He came, as to the promise
Of the eternal plan
This is our blessed hope
