Update: Ryan is in the ICU in isolation, and now he's on dialysis because of some infection in his blood. He's on heavy duty antibiotics and sedated, but still hanging in there. Please continue praying.

I just talked to his friend, and Ryan has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome which is extremely rare, and basically what happens is that your immune system attacks your nervous system and in extreme cases can cause your body to shut down. He's flatlined once already because it attacked his heart and lungs. He's got a chest tube in and they had to do CPR on him for 30 minutes. He's stabilized now but highly critical.

GBS is something most people fully recover from but in his case, he's one of those marginals where it's extremely severe.

That's all I know for now.
