Your own words.
Something about not praying because you think God has condemned you forever?
According to your faith be it unto you.
What is it you actually believe???
Because see, God's truth is what it is. His attitude toward us is what it is. It doesn't change. He loves us, He sent His Son to die for us, to save us by His grace.
But we can cut ourselves off from God's truth and the presence of the Lord through our own unbelief. Which isn't God's doing, it's ours.
That's why the Bible says we're to examine ourselves to see if we're in the faith. To see what we believe about the Lord, so we can repent of false beliefs and unbelief that we've allowed ourselves to get tangled up with.
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
no, actually you had used the word 'separated'. don't put your words in my mouth.
again, you're putting your own words in my mouth. you've made an unnecessary extension of something which i said.Something about not praying because you think God has condemned you forever?
no, according to your faith be it unto me.According to your faith be it unto you.
about what? God's existence? What is it you actually believe???
no, God's truth is as you see it in the context of your individual belief system. not as it is.Because see, God's truth is what it is. His attitude toward us is what it is. It doesn't change.
how does this affect me?He loves us, He sent His Son to die for us, to save us by His grace.
you would not have placed me in this category if the church had not cut me off.But we can cut ourselves off from God's truth and the presence of the Lord through our own unbelief. Which isn't God's doing, it's ours.
what false belief of mine are you referring to? if i wasn't excommunicated from the church, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. but you can't conscience that i could be excommunicated from the church and still be in good standing with God.That's why the Bible says we're to examine ourselves to see if we're in the faith. To see what we believe about the Lord, so we can repent of false beliefs and unbelief that we've allowed ourselves to get tangled up with.
Moonglow, post #62: And why don't you pray? Are you afraid God really has rejected you like those elders said so think God won't hear your prayers?
You, post #64 Correct.
If God has rejected you, that means you consider yourself separated from Him. Because if I reject somebody, that means I don't desire to be around them nor them to be around me. The result of rejection is distance and separation.
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
take your debate into the debate forum where it belongs.
meditation, and not prayer, brings a greater consciousness of God's omnipresence.
no, if God has rejected me, that means that you consider me separated from God. i've made no such reference to separation. you're just expressing your distorted belief of a non-omnipresent God, prefering a God of merely localized presence. If God has rejected you, that means you consider yourself separated from Him.
what has God's lack of omnipresence got to do with you rejecting somebody?Because if I reject somebody, that means I don't desire to be around them nor them to be around me.
in your own mind only. not mine. separation is an illusion. The result of rejection is distance and separation.
And with that, I'm done here.
If that's how you treat everyone who desires to help and guide you, it's no wonder that you are where you are.
Best of luck.
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
A few pages back, when he told me that he didn't view Willow Creek Church as an authentic, biblical church.
Edit* At this point I asked him if he was trolling - that's when he stopped responding.
