I have read before that Ophichus had been part of the zodiac in the past, or maybe is still considered part of the zodiac. The popular view of the zodiac is from the astrological viewpoint, but the zodiac is of course an astronomical feature as well and the ecliptic does pass through this constellation.
I don't see much Bearing on the End Times. Maybe Right Ascension and Declination, though.

Back to my first post, consulting with Wikipedia indicates that there is a distinction between zodiac signs and zodiac constellations. The former are associated with the astrological context, while the latter are associated with the astronomical context.

As can be seen in the link, Ophiuchus is considered part of the astronomical zodiacal constellations.

The rising of Ophiuchus - Constellations and the End Times
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
The following is a description of events at the end of the world whereby the stars AND the constellations these stars form will be destroyed.
Constellation
"In modern astronomy, a constellation is an internationally defined area of the celestial sphere. Historically, the term was also used to refer to a pattern formed by prominent stars within apparent close proximity to one another, and this practice is still common today."
Mazzaroth
In Hebrew Mazzaroth represents the 12 signs of the Zodiac and their constellations. So again not occult rather biblical. God created the 12 signs of the zodiac. Note the zodiacs in themselves are not evil rather those whom worshiped them.

The 13th zodiac - Ophiuchus
To highlight this constellation is the main reason for this thread and the possible link to the end times. This constellation is considered the 13th zodiac sign but for some reason it has been omitted from modern astronomy. This zodiac is said to rise up and be positioned directly over the sun for the first time in the last days.
1. This sign is called the "serpent - bearer" and is a man holding a serpent.
2. The sign is direct opposite from Orion.
3. This sign represents healing, medicine, and immortality (the medical field today uses the serpent).
Now we know a future man which speaks like a dragon serpent will come upon the earth performing miracles and offering everlasting life. So is there a connection with the rising of Ophiuchus and the man of sin or mere coincidence??

Also, looking into the "loosening of the bands of Orion". Again Orion and Ophiuhus are in opposition, I believe but need to double check (got to go to work) that the spear of Ophiuhus is pointed at Orion and then the loosening of the bands would be Orion fighting back. Could be wrong but I will reply later with update.
Interesting that the sun and moon are able to signify time so then could the stars really signify events past occurred or to occur in the future. Can we look into the stars for events. Why have so many in past history have attempted to do so?

No matter the motive of the OP we do not want to negate the fact that God set up the stars in patterns. Yes God not man. The bible speaks of such patterns as Mazzaroth (zodiac / constellations) which are a group of stars unlike others which rotate as a group not independent around the earth (hello?). The bible specifically speaks of Orion, Arcturus, and Pleiades. To me this is awesome that our creator can spread out the heavens is such a way to make patterns in the sky. Most may think it was the Babylonians, Greek, s and or pagans which created such but they merely assigned their characters to such star patterns created by God. Of course not only does the bible speak of such patterns but the numbers associated give us another clue: 12 zodiacs, and a the 7 stars in Pleiades. A quick study of Pleiades is quite interesting as if one pulls out a map and align the constellation with the location of the 7 churches on earth and it is almost a match!!! God has made our night full of stars for meaning not just thrown up there at random this is just another awesome example of our creator. Would it beyond God to set up signs (picture book) in the heavens to depict events? We already use one of the stars which dictates our life style........
Now concerning the constellation Ophiucus. The recognition of the constellation as the 13th zodiac by no means is any indication that the end is near as these grouping of stars have been around since the beginning. However it is interesting that it is named the "serpent" and "13th" zodiac and the biblical reference to both. A study of it's upcoming locations associated to other zodiacs is interesting.
