I would love to see Gov. Christy run for president. No-nonsense, dead-nuts, no-BS (although it's still politics). To bad he's not running.

Doesn't have a chance, but is getting nice publicity for his brand, which is what Trump is always only all about.
Trump also dosen't have experience in voting 'present'. I think that's a HUGE factor.

Besides, renaming AF28000 "Hair Farce One" would be a bit much.

Sarah Palin is the most underconsidered candidate on the panel of conservative / Republican hopefuls. She is also the most feared by the librals as well. When the private plane pilot crashed his aircraft into the IRS building a couple of years ago the Liberals shouted TEA PARTY and SARAH PALIN. When the would be terrorist bomber parked his explosive laden SUV on Times Square in NYC the breaking news squaked TEA PARTY and Sarah Palins name got dragged in to the muddied "facts". and in the recent shooting in Arizona the liberal media shouted SARAH PALIN and TEA PARTY!! and began to weave a web of lies around her. You never hear the liberals saying Jindel, Trump, Newt or Christie when "man caused disaster" strikes. Why ?? Because these people represent the same blah easy to beat lame Republicans who roll over and let the liberals wipe their feet on them. Why would the left be willing to expend so much political capital and credibility if Sarah Palin was not a threat?? The fact that the left is so willing to go out of its way to discredit a person who hasn't thrown her hat in the ring yet shows that they are terrified of the force she can muster. Realistically I believe if Sarah Palin were to run on sound conservative values she would spank Obama like a red headed step child.

    Of course you may.

I don't think Romney is a good candidate to oppose Obama. For one thing, his "Romneycare" is the foundation of "Obamacare", and if the 2012 election is a referendum on Obama's record I don't see how he can oppose Obamacare and still support his own legislative monstrosity. And he's being very disingenuous because he claims no connection between the two bills when it's obvious that there is.

He's also a bit of a flip-flopper on social issues. I'd more support someone with whom I disgreed but took a firm stance over someone who's mushy on these things.

I don't see a clear frontrunner right now. And there's no one I particulary like.

I don't think she's electable. If she's the Republican nominee, Obama wins in a landslide. Probably picks up senate and house seats in the process.

As much as I do like Palin, there's no way she gets the nomination. She has a solid base of those of us who really like her but unfortunately she has a huge base of people who seem to despise her. Usually, there's no such thing as bad publicity but unfortunately Tina Fey looks so much like her that many, many people dislike Palin for things Tina Fey has said. I've even seen the media attribute things to her that Fey said. It's an odd phenomenon.

I've soured on her too. She's overexposed (Did I really need to see her vacationing in Alaska? Watch her daughter dance on a TV show?) and she fells the need to comment about anything and everything that happens. Silence is golden.

    Let the flaming begin.

I predict that single-issue ideological Christian Republican voters will make it very difficult for the Republican party to select a candidate that can beat Obama because of their single-minded focus on what they perceive to be social policy purity. The Republicans will pick someone who can be acceptable to the center, and the evangelicals will get their knickers in a wad (again) and let Obama squeak through with a 1% victory.

I pray not, but I can easily see it happening.

Or they will pick someone who comments about his "Christian brothers" and Obama will cruise to a landslide victory. Can easily see that happening too.
