Fenris: "There are two ways to shoot an arrow into a bulls-eye You can shoot the arrow into the bulls-eye or you can shoot the arrow and paint the bulls-eye wherever it hits"
Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge ... give place to God's wrath. For it is written "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"
Isa. 30:32
And every blow of the rod of punishment, which the Lord will lay on him, will be with the music of tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them

Hello ChristOsterone
I will give these questions a go.
This question seem to come from a base that assumes belief in Gods existence is the main focus of making people believe God. God in times past did manifest Himself. But this was during the times He was working to bring into the world the knowledge of his will for His creation. The important think id Gods will. God wants His will (his message) to be the moving factor in causing those who agree with His will or those who are convinced by His message to come to have trust in Him so that they can be justifiably saved.
So it is not so much a "test" in faith that God exists.. It is a Test in what each person believes is good and what they believe is bad. It is a Test in finding out who is too proud to acknowledge the truth of God and who is able to humble themselves towards God by being convinced by the truth of God.
Who controlled the media at the time? Who wrote the history? Why the kings did. As for any local righting "dear diary: stuff. firstly it would have been recorded on the most basic of perishable media and secondly the entire nation of Judea was destroyed and it's people massacred and exiled during the war that occurred after the times of Jesus. The only accounts that survived where in the hands of the Christs who recorded it and survived the destruction. It is conceivable that most of the people of Bethlehem where killed in the years of the war with the roman forces.2. In the bible, a king orders every male child to be killed. Why is there no documentation of this outside of the gospels? Seems like the kind of thing someone might write about. "Dear diary; today I have to murder all my sons...."
This is not a question.3. The burden of proof is, of course, on the claim. Do you have any I can not refute?

The proof I have is that Jesus was raised from the dead. His life made a change in mine.
I wonder if the OP is still alive?
John 10 (KJV)
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Makes you wonder then if it is here for us for the purpose of examination, like maybe God wants us to examine our responses and see if maybe we can alter or better our approach for the next time. Maybe we bristle at these types of posts and it causes our responses to come across too harshly and haughtily. This is definitely a room that you want to think carefully about your responses and how you respond and even if you dare to be the one to respond. You don't want to be found replying without the Holy Spirit and having to answer to Him one day about the damage you may have done. Just a thought.
