    The Gospel of Your Salvation

What is the gospel of YOUR salvation?

Re: The Gospel of Your Salvation

Jesus is Lord, he died on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead by God our Father.

For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? ~ Deuteronomy 5:26

Thanks, Mark. I do hope that you will cite the verse references to your description of the gospel of your salvation above. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I agree, but is there something I must do or believe to be reconciled to God?

Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

God wills that ALL men be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth! 1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

    I hope that helps.

I think that if I change the words of the text I can make the Bible say anything I want.

That is why we are not to be led by what we THINK the bible says...but by the Spirit. If we are guided by our interpretation of the bible, we will be divided...we will not stand up.
If we are guided by the Spirit we will have unity from above.

If we let the Spirit lead us then the bible will interpret US. The word of the Lord is sharper than any 2 edged sword!!!

Do you disagree with the above passages? I don't speak for WSGAC, but it seemed apparent to me that these were the verses that he spoke of.

You are only guided by the Spirit if you have believed the gospel of Christ, the power of God unto salvation, the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. So can you tell me what it is?

Within their appropriate contexts, I agree with both passages wholeheartedly; however, intentionally changing the text in order to change the meaning of the text through WSGAC's extra-contextual paraphrase I do not agree with.

I thought he was just talkin at me. How was he trying to change the meaning?

The text does not say "all people" have been reconciled to God through Jesus' death.

what does it say? I didn't say that he quoted from a verse, but I did glean from his post that he believes that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them...(2 Corinthians 5:19) Does not "the world" mean "all people"?
