Witches Could Be Jailed If Predictions Don't Come True! (Romania)

They should tax the 'False Prophets' in the USA, like this!

BUCHAREST, Romania — There's more bad news in the cards for Romania's beleaguered witches.
A month after Romanian authorities began taxing them for their trade, the country's soothsayers and fortune tellers are cursing a new bill that threatens fines or even prison if their predictions don't come true.

Superstition is a serious matter in the land of Dracula, and officials have turned to witches to help the recession-hit country collect more money and crack down on tax evasion. Witches argue they shouldn't be blamed for the failure of their tools.

"They can't condemn witches, they should condemn the cards," Queen Witch Bratara Buzea told The Associated Press by telephone.

    My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16

"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

Hey, if we did the same thing with false prophets here in the good ol' US of A, we could balance the budget, eliminate the deficits, and put a chicken in every pot.

Condemn them if they weigh the same as a duck.
It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?
Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it on the islands from afar, and say, "He Who scattered Israel will gather them together and watch them as a shepherd his flock."

All it would do is encourage them to be even more vague and omit useful things like timeframes.
1Jn 4:1 NKJV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1Th 5:21-22 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil.

That's my thinking too! Too many self-proclaimed prophets here, and I just bet many of them would come to a screeching halt! The U.S. would have lots more tax money! And people would slow way down on sending them money and would really QUESTION whether or not to send it at all if they have to send it to a jail cell!

I know what you mean... a lot of them are so vague they could mean anything. It always amazes me how people read their weekly horoscopes, and seem to believe that the week ahead for 5 million people (60m in the UK, and assuming an equal distribution across the 12 zodiac signs) could be summarised in a box 2 inches by 3 inches or less.

I see grave-robbing in your future.

Plus the general wackiness that there are actually 13 signs, not 12, and they vary in length from 18 days to 44 days.

Pick pick pick... he did say "in your future" which rules out the untold years since the dawn of time until your present.
