Cars you wish they would bring back.

I vote for the Volkswagon Beetle! No,not the girlie peppy thing they tried to pass as the original, but the real McCoy.The air cooled engine in the back, the trunk in the front. You could style them up anyway you choose. I liked the Baja bug style the best. The dune buggy was also cool. If you happen to wreck the body,no problem! you could always buy a fiberglass body to take it's place.I have a love for older cars.No computer brains, sensors, fuel injectors, smog control, etc. Just give me something I could work on again! What gets your vote?

Ford Galaxy - all 2 tonnes of steel.
It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in Ethics.

In their original form with archaic suspension and no technology? Nothing. I'll just buy old originals.

But... to reprise an oldie as a modern reincarnation ala Mustang, Challenger, etc.?

    Cougar

    Thunderbird
    Ranchero
    AC Cobra 289/427

    GM has 638, 556, 505, and 430-ish hp V8s.
    Ford has 550, 444, and 411hp V8s.
    Mopar has a 600hp V10, and 470 and 370-ish hp V8s.

Pontiac-Olds, Mercury, and Plymouth are all dead, though.

    (I'm obviously a power monger.)

Oh... And a Lamborghini LMA (their crazy desert-ready massive SUV). With the 700hp 6.5L V12 that's slated for the new Aventadore. It's like a gorgeous Italian Hummer H1 with 700hp... Seven Hundred! (They're currently reviewing the business model to build it.)

Toss in a Lambo Miura remake with the same drivetrain.

    A new 500+hp Acura NSX would be great; as would a new 500+hp Supra and a 500hp 4-Rotor RX-7.

How 'bout Cadillac build their concept "Sixteen", named after its cylinder count. A V16 with 1000hp.

    A new BMW M1 supercar.

New Prowler... with 470hp 6.4L Hemi.

    Renault R5 Turbo 2.

    Lancia Stratos.

    Porsche 928GTS.

    DeTomaso Pantera and Mangusta.

    Iso Grifo.

    Duesenberg, Cord, Stutz, Hispano Suiza.

    Cizeta Moroder.

    Isdera Commendatore.

I could do this for awhile.

I've been driving my 05 Mazda pickup since 05.
My wife has been driving her Nissan Xterra for over 10.

Nothing ever more than routine maintenance, tires, and brakes.

    Well... I guess I was a little nit-pickcy.....
After all, I'm still driving my 2000 Honda accord.

    LOL!

But to quote my parents, "They just don't make 'em like they used to!"

81 Mack Firecat. One of the best firetrucks ever made.

I would bring back any 1960's pickup. Today's trucks are more like cars with beds.

How about this bad-boy. About as long as a block & weighs about as much as a whale. Love them big fins too.
