Abby remains in my prayers, I believe she will start talking soon. I truly do, she is very smart and so precious. Sometimes people can be so insensitive. God bless you, T

Re: Prayer for Abby - development

Thank you all for your continued prayers. I am asking that everyone start praying very hard for Abby over the next few days. God revealed to me through prayer that He has big plans for Abby. He is going to use her to witness to people about Him and how he has healed her from her Scoliosis (when it happens) and how He made her to talk (when it happens). God also revealed to me that Satan is using everything he can to prevent this from happening. Satan is trying to keep Abby from talking. God has told me this not only once but several times over the last few days. So, please join me in prayer that Satan releases his clutches from Abby, that she is healed from Scoliosis, begins to talk in complete sentences and begins her life of serving and witnessing for God. Thank you all.

Thought you all would like to see Abby's latest picture. It was taken on July 2nd. She will be 2 years old on July 29th.

She follows directions to the letter. She even shakes her head "no" and "yes". Her SLP keeps telling me that Abby is very intelligent and that she will talk when she is ready. It is just so hard to wait when everyone around me keeps acting as if Abby is "Seriously Delayed". They make me feel bad. They are always saying things like "My friend's little boy started talking in complete sentences last week and he is only 18 months old." That makes me feel about 2 inches tall. Please continue to pray for Abby's speech.
You've got to stop caring what other people think. She will speak soon. Detach yourself from the opinions of others. I know it's hard but you've got to. It's not fair to compare her to other children. Let those comments go in one ear and out the other. I know how you feel because i've been there. I've successfully been able to do this and my life is so much better.

    I am praying for Abby.
As far as the speech goes, all children are different.
My would not repeat words like many small children do or say things if you asked him to.
He did not say much at all until he was over 2 years old.
Then, he spoke in complete sentences. They were simple sentences like "I want ball", but they were actual sentences. It was really strange.

My nephew didn't start talking until he was 3 1/2! But his parents found out that he had LOTS of inner ear fluid around his ear drum that had been preventing him from hearing (kind of like Abby has had). But, they didn't catch his fluid until after he was 3 years old! (Not a very good pediatrician in my opinion!) Anyway, when he started talking his sentences left out words. He would say "What doing?" instead of What are you doing? It was weird. But now, he is 6 years old and speaks as good as I can. So, I guess that I just need to be patient and trust completely in God. I just have to remind myself this from time to time. Thanks for all of your prayers!!

What a doll! She is adorable. You do have alot to be proud of and happy about with her you know? She has had to deal with alot yet hangs in there and keeps going! (I wouldn't ever believe any 18 month old started talking in complete sentences btw). Sometimes I think people just like to make other feels bad even if they have to lie to do it. Stay away from those kind of people if you can.

I will be praying for her and praying against any oppression that might be going on too.

    God bless

Thank you all for your prayers for Abby! God was watching over her yesterday! We were at my mother-in-law's house and she was in the floor playing. Well, my BIL was in recliner with the footrest opened up. Abby was playing near the recliner and fell into the metal part of the foot rest (the part that holds the foot rest up) She hit the metal part with her left eye. She started screaming. I ran to her and her left eye was bloddy on the white part of her eye. Me and my husband rushed her to the ER. After 4 hours of waiting in the ER and having CT scans of the head done, the doctor told us she is completely fine and that there is no permanent damage. The red bloody mark on the white part of her eye should go away on its own within 7-10 days and her eye sight is fine. THANK YOU GOD!!!! Things can happen so quickly. And I was only 3 feet away from her! It is impossible to predict every little thing that could possibly happen before it does. With a kid, freak accidents happen every day. We are just thankful to God that He protected her eye!!!!

We took Abby to Shriner's yesterday for her 4th cast for Scoliosis. As you all probably know, a perfect & normal spine is zero degrees. Well, when they put her
3rd cast on, they were able to get her curve down to 20 degrees. Yesterday, when they put on her 4th cast, they got her down to 8 degrees!!! We are so thrilled and thankful to God. 83% of her curve is gone!! We are still believing and trusting in God to bring her all the way down to zero. She was 48 degrees to start with. And that was only 10 months ago! In 10 short months, God has given her a 40 degree correction! God is so GREAT!!!!
