    *Deuteronomy 7 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

    1 - What are the names of the seven nations God drove out of the land? the Hittites, Girga****es, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites

    2 - Why did God tell His people not to intermarry with the other nations? because they will turn your sons away from Me to worship other gods.

    3 - "Know that _____ your __ is __, the faithful __ who keeps His _____ covenant _____ for a ______ generations with those who ___ Him and keep His _______." YAHWEH, God, God, God, gracious, loyalty, thousand, love, commandments

    4 - Finish the verse: "If you listen to and are careful to keep these ordinances,......" the Lord your God will keep His covenant loyalty with you as he swore to your fathers.

    5 - Why did God say, "The LORD your God will drive out these nations before you little by little." Because the Israelites would not be able to destroy them all at once and the wild animals would become too numerous for them.

    6 - Why did God tell His people not to covet the silver and gold on the images?* because they would be ensnared by them and the idols were abhorrent to God

    Deuteronomy 8 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

    1 - Why must God's people carefully follow every command He was giving them? so that they may live and increase, and may enter and take possession of the land the LORD swore to there fathers.

    2 - Why did the Lord lead them through the wilderness for 40 years? So that He might humble them and test them to know what was in ther heart, whether or not they would keep His commands.

    3 - What did the Lord give His people to eat that their fathers had not known? Manna.

    4 - Finish the verse: "For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land,......" a land with streams of water, springs, and deep water sources, flowing in both valleys and hills;

    5 - What are some of the things God warned His people about that could cause their hearts to become proud and forget the LORD? He warned them about being proud, when they eat till they are full and build and live in nice houses, herds and flocks grow large, and your silver and gold multiply, and everything else you have increases. These things can lead to being proud to some people, this is what God was warning them about.
