My Step-Mom: Cancer

But now my step-mother is diagnosed with advanced ovarian.

Surgery is scheduled.

She is: JoAnn.

Well, she has started Chemo and needs two more treatments, 3 weeks each, before surgery is considered. She's going through the chemo-process at home - my sisters are at her side at all times.

I communicate with her by cell-phone and it breaks my heart to hear her talk. She is so, so sick - all bloated, full of fluids and that's just the tip of it. Her voice is so different. They cut her hair short in preparation for it falling out. (maybe a mistake - it might be better if it falls out long)

She hasn't decided if she wants to have the surgery.

But she retains her magnificent sense of humor and is as sharp as ever.

I'm convinced that she has trusted the Lord for salvation.
