Re: Genetically superior
I do feel a little iffy about the idea of going in and changing the dna of an unborn baby, partly because I can see it being one risky procedure, and partly because I'm not a big fan of messing with God's designs. My main issue with it though is all the researchers who are focusing more on figuring out what gene does what so they can actually abort babies with undesirable traits. There's a pretty well-known charity that supposedly advocates for a disorder that I have a mild version of, but their primary goal is really to "cure" the condition by preventing it from happening at all, which to them basically means finding the bit of dna that causes the condition and then aborting babies who have it. The sad part is, they're not the only ones who think that way. Simply going in and changing genetics though, I'm not too thrilled with the idea right now, but eh, as long as it's safe I think I could deal with it.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
