YOU ROCK GLENN!!!!!
Yay! now if only he could kicked off the radio the world would be a better place.
Yeah, I heard about this a week ago. I like Beck.....his shows can get monotonus and I don't always agree with what he says, but at the same time, there's a number of things he says that the left or Dems or even the BHO admin can't refute.
I'm a Sabbath breaker who only works 5 days a week. Oh, and I don't believe in unicorns either.
I started watching Glen Beck when his show first aired on Foxnews because my husband likes his radio show and always turned his new program on.
I found it interesting sometimes but boring most of the time because, I don't know, if you talk about anything apart from God for too long, you just lose me and my eyes glaze over. But then it was kind of strange because suddenly he started talking about God here and there. He went from never talking about Him to mentioning Him now and then. And I was like, did this man just find God?? Why didn't he ever talk about Him before and now he is? And then, he started talking about Him all the time, like, every day. So I says to my husband, oh, just when he begins to interest me, they're going to get rid of his show!
So my husband says, no, he has very high ratings. And I said, it doesn't matter. They're a cable news channel and they're going to tell him he has to stop always mentioning God and if, as I think I can see, he's met God, he of course will have to refuse stopping talking about Him and so he'll be cancelled. I think it's the reason and I was right (as usual...lolol) But I think as Beck says, they sat down to talk and everyone decided he'd go to working on specials.
I kind of cringed a few times when he first started talking about God at some of the things he said (like, God helps those that help themselves) but then, I cringe at some of the things I wrote in here too a few years ago after I met Him. And as I kept watching him, I saw real growth in understanding coming about.
I like that he believes, as I do, that truth is not about a political affiliation but that truth is just truth and should be sought out simply because it's the truth and the truth will set you free. I like that he is no respecter of a mans party but a respecter of truth and no respecter of denomination but of truth.
I like the things he urges his viewers to do - like going out and being a light to the lost and practicing random acts of kindness to show Jesus to people.
I like that he turned me onto some really good books on his show like the one that recently came out on Bonhoeffer. It was really good. I think it's called...Pastor. Martyr, Spy?
I don't understand why people say he's trying to scare people. He;\'s never scared me. He has said a lot of times that we don't need to be scared but that we need to be prepared and we need to know what it is that we believe in so that we can stick to it when harder times come so we can be a light and a life raft of sorts to those who are running around in a panic.
I like that he points out how our country was founded on christian principles and our laws on the laws of God and how he says our only hope is to get back to those principles and to seek God's face. I just don't understand how that is scary except to those who are perishing.
I don't agree with everything he says any more than I agree with every single thing any other christian says. I have watched him become more and more humble over the years I've watched his show and it's actually been a blessing to me to see it. I wanted to watch his endtimes video on his foxnews website but I don't have the money right now. Has anyone seen it? I look forward to his upcoming shows on what he did and who he spoke to on his recent trip to Israel.

Glenn Beck is NOT a Christian.
Anyone who believes Jesus Christ is the brother of Satan... well - what in the world IS a Christian if not someone who KNOWS Christ?

I've found that we actually watch him more than we used to, because it seemed the extreme liberals did not like him at all and we got to wondering why. So me and my husband began watching him more.
I now find myself agreeing more than disagreeing with him, especially the history he focuses on. And some of the people he points out as the ones who are invited to White House functions are, to me, the most anti-government and anti-establishment people there are.
My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16
"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

But I thought the Tea Party, which seems to be EVERYONE'S darling of the moment, dislike government. Why would they have a problem with anti-government people?

Take what he says about history with a grain of major kosher salt (as in LARGE grains). One of his "experts" is not an expert at all. David Barton takes snippets and leaves the whole cloth to "prove" how Christian we were at our founding.
The entire country was founded on there being NO state religion.
"MISSION: To rescue Christians enslaved by manmade religion and to bring them to the freedom of Jesus."

Some states required that all citizens worship in and support the state sponsored religion. Tax revenues from all the citizens of the particular state were used to pay for church buildings and to pay pastors.
The US Constitution simply said that the feds would not establish a religion...that each state could do that for themselves (1st and 10th Amendments)
Almost all of the states required holders of public office to swear allegiance to and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord in some manner or the other. Those requirements, like the use of state tax money for churches, died out eventually, some very quickly and some not so quickly.
