What to do with wordpress spam bot?

There is probably not much that can be done,but just thought I would ask.

Also is it better to delete spam or hold it in your spam box? Or does it delete automatically after so many days?

Guess I need to do some changes because the bots are able to sign up somehow.

I just figured out that my nucapcha got turned off some how. So I turned it back on and maybe this will stop all the bots.

You can also signup for an askimet account and Wordpress will use your askimet key to vet new posts as far as I know. This can make a huge difference.

Since I found my nucapcha off and corrected that, the bots have stopped.

Added: I found out why bots stopped. nucapcha is not compatible with the layers them I use. So when enabled no one could sign in. Not even bots. So I disabled it to make sure, and everything started working. So I downloaded another capcha and it works fine.

The nucapcha is advanced and uses flash video to show you the code to sign in. Might be the reason it did not work.
