Back in 2008 I started to organize the mess of hundreds of recorded movies stored on DVD, rip bought DVD's and store it all together on a harddisk which was connected with a mediaplayer so I could play them on my TV.

Anno 2011 the conclusion is that things got out of hand, yesterday I crossed the barrier of 5000 media files (movies, series, documentaries). I wrote a little utilty program that creates HTML listings and statistics from the media library.

Everything is stored on NAS system with a capacity of 8 TB harddisk space.
