What is being reported on the news is that the U.S. team moved on the house and there was a firefight. During this fight a woman Osama used as a human shield was shot and killed, Osama himself was shot and killed, and one of Osama's adult sons was shot and killed. I don't think there was a sniper involved, nor did we take him alive and execute him.
Although this will certainly help to a degree, if this were a ploy to help his reelection bid, it wouldn't have been done this early. By the time the election rolls around, especially if the economy hasn't improved much, people will have forgotten about this and will be on to other matters.
From what I have read, and this makes sense, the burial at sea was done because they did not want his burial site to become a shrine for the terrorists.
I think they did kill his son who was trying to defend the compund ....
Yes, I agree we should not give foreign terrorist the privilege of legal protection that we have as American citizens....and as scripture says, government is there for the "punishment of evil doers".....
BTW, I think they dumped bin laden's body in the sea! Pretty smart ...That was the best thing to do since bringing his body anywhere else would bring reproach (and terrorism, and outrage) to any nation.
They even dubbed the dumping of his body as an act of Islamic ritual..pretty smart. .ha, ha lol.
Hope they got all the neccessary picures for Obama's photo albumso he can bragg about "HIS" victory at the next election campaign.
It is sort of amazing that Bin laden led such a hypocrical life, living in a "luxury" compound with his babes while his radical followers were urged to blow themselves up for allah.....hopefully this revealtion will bring some of them to their senses.....
But not too likely.Deceived fascists hoping for 72 virgins rarely stop at anything.

Let's get this straight, his body has been given to the sea according to islamic law, like we care about islamic law???...............c'mon.

I, too, struggle somewhat with how I'm supposed to feel, as a Christian, about the death of Osama Bin Laden. As an American, I feel justice has been administered for the horror he helped bring about on the morning of September 11th, 2001. However, to be caught up in any "celebration" or "revelry" is going, in my view, a bit too far. However, since I did not personally lose any family or friends on 9/11, it's fairly easy for me to espouse that view. I do not shed tears that he is dead. He brought his demise on himself. He had plenty of years to renounce his violent ways and find salvation in Jesus Christ. He refused to do so. He now has to face his eternal destiny in a place we dread to go. For that, I feel sorrow. However, I do not at the mere fact that he died. Sorry if that sounds "cold" or "heartless."![]()
Some Americans do care about Islamic law. Specifically, American Muslims. But it serves the rest of us too. His adherents will never be able to build a shrine over his body. They'll never be able to contest the land he's burried under. There will be nothing tangible for his followers to cling to, except his memory. That will be forgotten in a generation.
Another positive thing about burrying him at sea is that it shows us to be the better opponent. Where US soldiers are mutilated and paraded as trophies, then left to hang in the sun, we have disposed of our enemy without the savage need to sully the corpse. We have proven ourselves better than our enemy here... and not just in regards to prowess in arms.

The reason for my comment was, a day later and he's already being buried out at sea, where's the evidence is my question he should have been brought back to the states for confirmation and now the public will never know and if we cared about islamic law we would have never killed him in the first place, just saying.

That the American government has a daker side to it? All governments do, dude. Even our government has done some shady things at times. Also, if you subscribe to the view that a New World Order run by an antichrist is being set up, as I do, it includes the government of the United States of America. That's why it's referred to as the New World Order. As great as our country is in many ways, it will fall with the rest of the world.![]()

I'm sure they took plenty of evidence before he was buried. The reason for my comment was, a day later and he's already being buried out at sea, where's the evidence is my question he should have been brought back to the states for confirmation and now the public will never know and if we cared about islamic law we would have never killed him in the first place, just saying.
What would bringing him to the U.S. do besides cause more harm? We do not want that body in our posession. Can you imagine the anger that would cause? We also do not parade bodies around. Remember the anger in America over Black Hawk Down? We don't do that, hence we acted in accordance with his religion and got rid of the body in a place no one will be able to find it, visit it, make a thing out of it.
I know I'm new but honestly... does this help our witness? That's just vile and if non-believers are here, reading, that's what they'll remember and it can colour their view of all Christians.I still think we should have run him and a hog through a sausage grinder together then fed the mixture back to the hogs.
ETA - News says DNA confirmes it was Bin Laden, so they did take evidence.
