    Smile Global warming......where?

It has been a very cool day here.It was 55 for a bit, befroe it fell to 52. I had to look at the calender and to see if this was May,it is. But I'll gladly take a nice cool 52 over a head numbing 91 any day! Thanks God!

Warmish today and yesterday. Tomorrow is supposed to be more seasonal though, so it should be a pleasant day with windows open to the breeze. If it doesn't rain. Again.

They never should have called it global warming...should have called it climate change...

It was 102 here last Monday! Then down in the 50's by Friday... Or maybe they should have call it 'weird weather'...

It's been a wet, wet spring here. I mean we are on the Pacific coast and it rains a lot, but this year has been something else. Spring flowers and tree blossoms are late.

I believe the climate models actually predict increased overall rainfall.
It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in Ethics.

Odd...here we have gotten little rain which is unusual for this time of the year and everything bloomed very early...

At any rate...while I tried to bite my tongue on this thread I can't anymore. Global warming...climate change..whatever people want to call it is happening. Just because people don't live in areas where they can actually see their homes swallowed up by the rising ocean doesn't mean its not happening. I think the debate should be more on whether its man made or natural...not whether its really happening or not cause it is.

You would prefer that we not warm up after the last little ice age ended ?

I realize that. As I said the debate shouldn't be if its happening or not..only whether its natural or due to our pollution. But people deny its happening at all inspite of all the evidence.
