Yes, make certain that you read reviews, I suspect that many of them are malware. Key loggers aren't exactly known for a good reputation.

I would not trust a free key logger program. You really want to trust a freeware company to install software on your computer that records every key stroke made on it? Think about it.

I would if it's a well used program. I say that because it's simple enough to monitor TCP/UDP traffic and see if software is misbehaving. If it's popular software - free or not - some geek would have noticed.

On another note, Linux is also free. It's used by governments, schools, Hospitals and even the military and it's a lot more secure than Windoze (which is not free).

I've used Family Keylogger by SpyArsenal.com from back in 2003. It runs in the background invisable. Had to keep a check on my kids.

I can't trust a free keylogger either since they are not reliable. I just know the micro keylogger and Spy software which are popular among my friends. But I don't know if they meet your specific requirements. You can have a look. Hope they can help!

I know it is possible for macs to get keyloggers, but I'm wondering if its possible for someone (an acquaintance, not a website) to download a FREE keylogger on a mac by accessing the computer.

I think my sister may have put a keylogger on my computer, but before I start stressing out I want to get the facts.

I caught her viewing this Mac keylogger page, but I guess she wouldn't have purchased one, so it would have to be possible to download for free, and I am unclear or not as to wether she has the administrators password. Could she have put a keylogger on my computer?

Free Keylogger program? After searching, there is not so much free keyloggers for Mac, just some trialware. As far as I'm concerned, free software is always not completely functional. And i can not see any free ones that are not virus-free and most of them troublesome. About a month ago i downloaded one of those free keyloggers and it contained viruses. So now when i need to download a software keylogger for my MacBook, i searched for "download keylogger for mac" online. And i have got some like download mac keylogger and download keylogger for mac, seems great. I will have a try.

Try to use commercial keylogger that gives you a free trial time. It is not free, but it may worth your money.

Yeah, there is no free lunch. Free one means not safe and clean to use. I recently bought a iphone keylogger for my iphone 4, working great.
