    The two-edged sword of truth?

Why in the bible are there so many dualities/overlapping truths? Could this be cause for much of the confusion, arguments and "legalisms" that separate us as Christians? Is the bible telling us of physical things just as it is of spiritual things, in the same sentence no less -- Much like there are basically two accounts of the same period of time in Chronicles and Kings, or the four accounts of the life of Jesus as recorded in the gospels?

Re: The two-edged sword of truth?

I think part of the problem is that we make distinctions that don't really make a difference. DWDs I call them(distinctions without difference)
The two edge sword cuts both ways. It cuts those we use it on and it also cuts into us when we use it on others. Are we walking what we are talking? Do we fulfil the same obligations we lay on others? We are not supposed to be ready to revenge all disobedience until OUR own obedience is fulfilled (2Cor 10:6) I think we sometimes get the cart before the horse.
Lord, one thing I ask...use me for your glory.
