Ok, I said I wouldn't touch this one, but this is really getting to me...
If a person posts things like, actual examples of OR links to off-site examples of: pornography or advertisements for pornography, advertisements for sexual stimulants or, uhm, manhood enlargement substances or devices, etc., I find it perfectly understandable to swiftly ban that person from the board.
One the other hand, I see people being banned apparently for expressing views the moderators and/or administrators disagree with, and they ban those people as opposed to trying to convince those people that their views are wrong.
Now, if those people obviously don't even themselves believe what they are expressing- and are just trying to irritate the other regular posters, moderators, and administrators, I can understand banning them.
BUT, if they sincerely believe the views they are expressing- but are sincerely WRONG about what they believe- they need HELP! How is simply banning them for expressing those views going to HELP them?
I didn't post this to offend any administrators or moderators. This is just something that has been bugging me for a long time now.

Let me assure you gringo, that nobody is banned "just" for an opposing view........ before someone is banned (with the exception of spammers and p*rnography) there has been a discussion with that person behind the scenes........ and there is a lot more going on than that view....... only not visible for the eyes of our members...........
So don't worry; just an opposing view won't get you banned.......

Just look at some of my posts. Obviously an opposing viewpoint is tolerated, and even welcomed, provided that it is stated in a respectful manner.
