Did God have a wife named Asherah?
No...but sometimes the Israelites acted like He did; and that got them in some very serious trouble....
God happens!

Any scripture that might seem as if He did, is a metaphor or a personification to make a point.
Israel was never God's wife, although Jeremiah makes a write of divorcement appear to be so.
Asherah/Ashteroth (the false god idol to the groves/trees) was often cited in the bible, with Jeremiah also making a reference to it as being 'queen of heaven'; but again, it was showing an analogy of the misplaced worship of this falsegod idol, and how extreme it had gotten; not that it or she was truly Eternal God's wife.
The closest thing you will ever have to God truly having a wife, is the analogy of the glorified redeemed of humanity as they are often described as bieng the wife or bride of Christ.
That's it.
Anything else is occultic myth or simple misunderstanding.

Israel was God's wife.
When God divorced Israel and she became the whore-wife of false-gods,
under God's Law, God could not remarry Israel.
When God became flesh and died... the old marriage covenant was broken
and God could lawfully remarry Israel.
