This is actually a song I wrote years ago. I felt led to share it here. I hope it's ok to post it here, as it is actually lyrics not poetry.
Don't Quit
On this narrow road to Heaven
things aren't always smooth and clear.
There are times we climb high mountains,
and the skies are often drear.
Jesus said to strive to enter,
but the real test is to stay.
on the straight and narrow path that we travel,
that will lead us to eternal day.
