What ever happened to everyone saying "Pray for America" and "God Bless America".

NYC Atheist are an organization with members and an agenda and they survive off of.......donations. Why complain during a board meeting where a vote will be taken and they will most likely be outvoted eh?
Much better to wait until afterwards when they can raise a stink, get publicity and possibly garner donations for the cause.
Pure speculation on my part about their motivations and actions but, really, it's how these things usually go down isn't it?
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

I remember a friend of mine in Indiana telling me how after 9-11 she heard that 'Proud to be an American' song allll the time, that now the song sortof meant 9-11 to her because it was everyplace and played so often. I think she'd say the same about what you said. Neither was the case in or near New York. What was on the radio alll the time right after, was 'Imagine' by John Lennon, not the other song.
They could have raised a stink then, is what I'm saying. There's time before board meetings happen - the really controversial things have meetings set up just so the public can come discuss stuff, then there's voting on stuff at later meetings. If they'd known it was going to happen, I'd think they'd have made a brouhaha beforehand and argued at the board meetings and had cameras there and other people and etc., and they could have voted later on. It could be your scenario, I just don't think mine is particularly less likely.NYC Atheist are an organization with members and an agenda and they survive off of.......donations. I think it's dangerous for atheists to trifle with God in light of 9/11, Katrina, and the tornadoes. If all of these combined would be equivelant to five minutes in the corner, I would not want to imagine what it will be like when God brings a "baby stallion" (24 hours in the corner) on America.

On the one hand, I pity atheists for their self induced deception in trying to convince themselves, and others, that there is no God because God's wrath awaits them if there is no repentance. On the other hand, their constant ridiculing and mocking of Christians and God annoys me to no end.![]()
Jesus Himself was ridiculed and mocked. Why should we who call Him master be treated any differently? It should be expected really. Doesn't make it right. It's just the way it is.

Oh, I understand that Christians will be treated like garbage for their beliefs. I know that Jesus warned us of this reality. That knowledge doesn't suddenly make it all ok with me, however. I know I shouldn't care about the mocking and ridiculing, and sometimes I do shrug it off. But sometimes it still gets to me.
It gets to me too sometimes brother. That's when I pray for those who persecute us.
