It is disheartning to see this is even a topic of debate, especially among Christians.
If you are looking for a phrase in the Word of God that says "premarital sex is a sin, don't do it" in such words, you won't find it.
However with just a tiny bit of discernment, and the understanding the premarital sex is rolled up amongst other things as FORNICATION.
Let see what the scriptures say about that:
1Co 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1Co_6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1Co_6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Co_6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1Co_7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1Co_10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Gal_5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Eph_5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
1Th_4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
Rev_2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Rev_2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
There are many many many other scriptures, and it does not take a rocket scientist to understand what God considers ok sex and what he does not.
In fact it is so clear Ray Charles could see it.
As far as sex with prositutes: Have you read the old testament. Did it EVER turn out favorable?
Now were the women Eli's sons were laying with that assembled at the door of the tabernacle were temple prositutes or not, we are not told here, however it is most likely since the scriptures do tell us in other passages that happened in that day, is irrelivant. Were they married to each other? I think not.
1Sa 2:22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
1Sa 2:23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
1Sa 2:24 Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD'S people to transgress.
1Sa 2:25 If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.
1Sa 3:12 In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.
1Sa 3:13 For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
Sounds like someone is trying to catch God in a loophold. I sincerely pray for you that God will show mercy. I lived a vile sinful life as a younger man. Fornication, adultery, whoremonger.. You name it, I probably did it and worst of all, I was a Christian when I did it. Since I was saved as a young boy of 7, I would say most of my sinning has been as a Christian. However, thank God for his mercy and grace and woke me up. I repented, not turn over a new leaf, but true repentance is acknowledge your sins, hate them for what they are. All the do is seperate you from Christ.
Make no mistake. Do not deceive yourself, it is sin in the eyes of God. You are calling evil good. God clearly warns us against this type of behaviour and for you to try to justify it is horrible.
I commend anyone today that is honestly trying to maintain their purity until they are married. I wish I was as wise when I had the choice.
You may never see it as wrong and that is ashame, or you may know it, but think you are somehow tainted now and unforgiveable. As long as your breathing, you are not to late, but God is long suffering so we might repent. That is his desire.
I fail him everyday. Thank God for his tender mercies that are renewed daily, because I need them everyday.
