The lineage of Lot,
Devised a plot,
To invade Judah's king.
With Esau's sons,
The deal was done,
For they agreed to this evil thing.
A Levite said be not afraid,
Nor the least bit dismayed,
In your city their feet shall not trod.
You won't have to fight,
To set things right,
For this battle belongs to God!
The king bowed to the ground,
As did those standing all around,
And there they worshipped the Lord.
And come the next day,
They went on their way,
To a battle where they drew not their sword.
Their voices they raised,
As the Lord they praised,
And God gave them sweet victory.
Their enemy they found,
Lying dead on the ground,
You can read it in Bible history.
Now take a good look,
Back through the Book,
And tell me if you can.
Who was this king,
That told his peopole to sing,
And the Levite, who was that man?![]()
