    The Future of War?

Wow, this is scary stuff to think that we could launch an attack to anyplace in the world and destroy within an hour. Kind of makes me think of this scripture....
Revelation 18:10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

This article shows just some glimmer of what sort of arms we are getting involved in.

10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

In the old wars drum of hoofs and the beat of shod feet.
In the new wars hum of motors and the tread of rubber tires.
In the wars to come silent wheels and whirr of rods not yet dreamed out in the heads of men.

In the old wars clutches of short swords and jabs into faces with spears.
In the new wars long range guns and smashed walls, guns running a spit of metal and men falling in tens and twenties.
In the wars to come new silent deaths, new silent hurlers not yet dreamed out in the heads of men.

In the old wars kings quarreling and thousands of men following.
In the new wars kings quarreling and millions of men following.
In the wars to come kings kicked under the dust and millions of men following great causes not yet dreamed out in the heads of men.

    Geez scary stuff.
Every temptation is of the devil, and every sin leads to death.

Indeed, I mean if God's Word describes the destruction of Bablyon in "one hour"....it's frightening to think that we humans will have such capabilities in our own destructive little hands.

I think it was Stalin who said: "When someone dies, it's a tragedy. When a million people die, it's a statistic". Whether we can destroy in an hour or a year, war is terrible whichever way one looks at it.
