I'll start...

My mama is no longer with us, but I always remember her funny stories. Mainly, she told things that happened to her and she'd have us holding our ribs that were cracking from laughing so hard.

She said, "When I was a teenager I had a friend and the way we ALWAYS greeted each other was to cross our eyes as soon as we made eye contact. Instead of saying Hi, we'd just cross our eyes at each other and then laugh at the way the other one looked.

"But one day I walked up to her in the hall at High School. It was before class and I just walked up behind her, crossed my eyes and waited for her to turn around and see me.

"She turned around, busted out laughing at me and then conked me on the head. Not hard, but just from laughing, she kinda tapped me on the head, all the while dying laughing.

"Then, much to my surprise, my eyes wouldn't uncross! They stayed crossed! She had to lead me to the office and then couldn't tell them what was wrong because she was laughing so hard! (Her mother had to take her to an eye doctor, and he couldn't uncross mama's eyes either!)

Mama said her eyes stayed crossed for three days..........

PS- When mama told us kids, "Don't cross your eyes. Your face may freeze that way"...she meant it!

I bought a small battery operated clock. When I got home I put a new battery in it but I couldn't get the time that was on the clock to change. I put another battery in it. I tried and tried changing the time but it wouldn't budge. I think 4:30 was the time on it. Then I realized something -- the time display area has a plastic peel-off sticker on the face of the clock with the time of 4:30. I PEELED OFF THE 4:30 STICKER !!!!!!

I probably shouldn't admit that happened to me !!

My son had joined the Air National Guard and went off to boot camp. In boot camp he said each man did not wash his own underwear and socks. Instead there would be 2 or 3 men assigned that duty on wash day and when they brought the clean underwear and socks back to the barracks 2 or 3 more men would fold them and then everyone just had to grab his stack of neatly folded garments and put them away.

They knew whose stack was theirs because they all had to mark their underwear with the first initial of their last name followed by the last 3 letters of their Social Security Number. Thus, my son's had written on the band 'B' (the first letter of his last name) followed by 1114 ... the last 3 letters of his Social Security number.

His little girlfriend, who later became his wife, was waiting for him to get back from boot camp and within that year they got married.

He said one day she was folding the laundry and handed him his stack of underwear and socks, then asked him, "David, why does all your underwear have BILLY written on the waist band?"

(You know for B-one-one-one-four.) And she's not even blonde!!

I have 2 stories! Neither of them happened to me...

The first story happened to an elderly lady (about 80 years old) who used to attend the church that I grew up in as a child. (I was about 10 when this happened). Anyway, this lady always sat on the front pew because she had hearing problems. That way, she could hear the preacher better. One Sunday, in the middle of the service, she had to go to the restroom. Well, on her way back from the restroom, we noticed that people were pointing and laughing at the lady as she was walking back to her pew. So, we looked at her again and noticed that she had accidentally tucked the bottom of her dress into her panties in the bathroom. And, yup - you guessed it! The entire back part of her panties was showing! She didn't have a clue! And the entire church had seen it because she had walked to the front pew to go back to her seat. Poor lady. I still remember that when she sat down, a lady who was sitting behind her whispered in her ear to let her know. She was so embarrassed and you could see her face turning red!

The second story is about a different lady who went to the same church mentioned above. This lady was about 40 at the time this happened. I will call her Jane. Well, every year the town we live in has a very large festival in October. It lasts for about a week and there are all kinds of street vendors, parades, singing, etc. Anyway, Jane was at this festival one year on a Saturday. She had the sudden urge to go to the restroom. The only restroom nearby was a porta-potty. And as she went inside, she noticed that is was one that was for both men and women (it had the symbol for each on the door). So, she went inside and locked the door. Well, just as she was cleaning herself (I'm trying not to be graphic, but her legs were spread apart), the door flies open and there stands a man looking at her. He immediately apologizes and walks away. Turns out the door lock was broken. But...the story gets WORSE!!! The next day, our church had a visiting preacher. Our pastor got up to introduce the preacher and guess who the visiting preacher was??? Yup, the man who had seen Jane with her pants down! Jane left the service early out of embarrassment!! What a coincidence!!!

[One Fine Day]

A funny & not so funny story.
I was planning to travel by plane with my dog. My vet gave me sedatives for him for travel. He told me to try out his suggested dosage in advance to see how my dog responded. I did such & it was too much for him. I was, of course scared ... but ... I couldn't help but laugh & cry at the same time ... as the reason I knew he was overdosed was because he could do nothing but walk backwards. He walked backwards out of the car, walked backwards the length of the drive-way ... and walked backwards the length of the yard (in slow motion to boot). I was dying laughing & crying at the same time. Of course I called the vet & had to give him varioius things & keep an eye on him etc. But I will never forget that. I am against that drug for pets ... I found it was an anti-psychotic & not the first time vets had given that to animals. It does strange things to their eyes also. I'm against drugs pretty much in general & there's probably herbs that would work just fine.

Well that was many years ago & that dog was one of the loves of my life. I have new doggies now & a little funny story with Zoe. She is a very adorable small white dog ... loving & trusting ... she is very agile ... she had never been in snow before & went running outside in deep snow & didn't know what to do with it ... so she walked on her front paws, with her back legs straight up in the air for about 15 feet or so. ... you couldn't see her head ... just a body & back legs ... straight up in the air. So I was also cracking up on that one ... wish I could have caught that on tape! Oh yeah, she did that while giving her a bath in the doggie pool in the summer ... I guess that's her answer to the cold water or snow!

I was talking to my best friend "B" online doing a video chat... Well I was showing him how well I could dance... The first dance went fine (I recorded it btw) even though I fell once...
The next dance didnt go so well... I was in the middle of it and jumped over a chair succesfully, the second time I jumped over it, went in slow motion and fell off the back of it... It hurt but now I can laugh about it.. So I hope you enjoy this and this

That looked painful! In slow motion etc, it was funny, but I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt.
Looks like you could have done some serious damage to your back and neck.

That was a few years ago.. I still have occasional back pain, but I'm lucky I didnt break it! I stayed in bed a few days. lol

A few times I have left Walmart without all of my grocceries because I did not check all the bags on the carousel before leaving.
Often the cashier will do a double check to make sure I got everything, and I do my best to remember the same.

Recently I returned home from a Walmart outing and began to unload my groceries, only to find some Great Value brand grape squeeze jelley in one of my bags that I had not placed in my cart to buy.

Then it dawned on me what had happened.

Not sure anyone here will think its funny, but I laughed pretty hard.
Im pretty sure the person who checked out before me was dissapointed when they went to make their PBJ sammich.
