I don't remember anyone saying that. Saying the people had a right to protest Mubarack, yes, but no guarantees.

And thank you - I know remember why I seldom post anymore.

    Reality is harsh...
Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it on the islands from afar, and say, "He Who scattered Israel will gather them together and watch them as a shepherd his flock."

Of course you would say that as a justification to convince yourself that being part of another fellowship makes sense

I am sorry you feel this way but don't bring dirty laundry here

I've heard that too, as it trickled down from our POTUS through MSNBC and CNN. I wonder why his high standards do not apply to Syria or Iran....??? Or maybe I shouldn't have to wonder based on other observations....

I think our own pigeonholeing language has put us in this debacle. The very language we use is biased towards grouping things like "progressive", "liberal", "radical" and "forward thinking" in one camp against "narrow-minded", "conservative", "ordinary" and "regressive thinking" in the other.

We have lumped politics, faith, science, education, sociology itself under the same umbrella of words and they don't work.

We have been conned into thinking that if someone is a "liberal" or "conservative" they support this or that. What nonsense.

I'm very "liberal" in some ways and radically conservative in others - most people are. Popular handles are a modern invention of boxing people into categories so they can be fed into a computer database.

We need to celebrate our uniqueness, not try to classify it.

Amen, brother! So very true. Thanks, once again, for your wise and insightful commentary. God bless, and have a great day in the Lord!

Very true. I get very weary of times when in a discussion I express a dislike of welfare systems and the automatic assumption is that I must be one of those right-wing types that would happily let a widow starve but doesn't bat an eyelid at a few billion in corporate subsidies.

It's very clever the way the people have been set against each other like this - for as long as we're fighting each other over perceived viewpoints (which aren't even accurate half the time, but it's easier to fight a strawman) we're distracted from our choices being ever-more illusory.
1Jn 4:1 NKJV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1Th 5:21-22 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil.

Reminds me of an old The Who song titled "Won't get fooled again."

Meet the new boss! *Dun da da* Same as the old boss! *Dun da da*
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Exactly. People cannot choose often because the very fabric of the framework used to design the "choice" options is a recursive endless loop of contradictions within contradictions.

I reckon that if we could learn to call a spade a shovel instead of the circular psycho-babble we are told it is (anything but a shovel), most shrinks would be unemployed too.

Society has developed a godless frame of reference based on conjured words and concepts that actually have no meaning and it's a house of cards.

For some people the desire to belong makes them strictly follow the leadership of an elite (either conservative or liberal) So much so that they hesitate to take a position on any issue unless they have heard an official pronouncement upon the issue by one of their talking head opinion setters.

You'll have to explain that a bit better for me to understand what you are meaning. Why should any Christian care what an unbeliever does?

And our being a Christian is determined by whether or not we condemn unbelievers for homosexuality?
