Have you ever been searched out, investigated or even visited by someone from the Internet, who was somehow able to determine your location?
Not speaking of someone who was invited.

As far as I know, no.
Yikes. no! Have you?
Not totally certain, but a police friend told me some things that took be aback.
I'm just wondering if it really happens that often.
Of course, not being careful with your location should be an invitation in this whacked-out world.

No, I have not. If I wanted to find you, I could. The bad thing is that my friend that is a private investigator, worst case scenario, could find you legally in a couple of days. For me as a peace officer to find you, I would need a legitimate reason. He can look for you just because he wants to or someone asks him to. Subscribe to the right database and the world is at your fingertips almost instantly. (that is all assuming the person you are looking for has a little bit of established credit)

Pre-Internet but yes. I had a guy call me. He asked me what I was wearing and I told him to get a life - I thought it was just your typical pervert call - he then described exactly the clothing I had been wearing for the past week. Right down to the way I had my hair tied back. It was a bit disconcerting to say the least. He even knew what time my husband left for work each day.
