I believe that if you BELIEVE that something is a sin, that MAKES it a sin for you.
I can see a lot of people saying this is moral/ethical relativism. I don't think it is.
Think about this:
Say, hypothetically, that a person ABSOLUTELY believes that eating chicken is a sin and that person then voluntarily puts a piece of chicken in his/her mouth and starts chomping on it, and then swallows it...
Later, this person concludes that eating chicken isn't a sin, after all.
Well, that person still BELIEVED that it was at the time he/she chose to do it.

It only becomes a sin if you get drunk, because then you committed gluttony. Drinking isn't a sin, it's the overuse that becomes a sin, but overuse of anything is a sin.
Every temptation is of the devil, and every sin leads to death.
Drinking wine is not a sin..Getting drunk is..Drinking isn't something i advise though -.-
I'm a walking paradox, No I'm not.

Pretty much...but I'd add this:
Alchohol is contrary to the Spirit in any quantity...IF it is being used to medicate. If we say "I don't get drunk, but I do drink a few beers at night", that's OK. But...if we "drink a few beers" because we are stressed or worried and we use the alchohol to dull our minds, that's a problem, I would say.
I drink beer and wine in moderation, but lately it's been a source of conviction for me by the Spirit. It's just very easy to drink too much, if you're a casual drinker. One night, I might have two glasses of wine and it be no big deal. The next night, I might be hanging with my wife and, the next thing I know, I've got a pretty good buzz. I know to cut it off right there, and people may think "Big deal". But...what about my plans for Bible reading that night? My prayer time? I'm certainly not coming before the Lord with a wine buzz going. LOL.
I guess I'd just say...alchohol isn't a sin in and of itself or anything. It's just kind of disruptive to a good, true Walk with Christ.

Everybody knows the Greek for wine is oinos which has to be fermemted by definition. Why would Christ drink oinos and instruct his followers to? Paul instructed Timothy to drink a little wine. Drunkeness (and uncontrolled desire - covetousness) is the sin. It is mentioned quite often in conjunction with gluttony. Is total abstinence from food the answer to that one?

I know. That was tounge in cheek and came out wrong.
Deuteronomy 14 says to buy alchohol for the celebration. It doesn't say to get hammered on it at said celebration. Even if it did specifically say that we should abuse alchohol once a year (LOL), that is a completely different circumstance than using alchohol as a crutch in our daily lives and walk with Christ. That is how it can be disruptive.
God using wine or other alchohol for various purposes throughout the Bible doesn't mean that He is OK with its abuse. Drunkenness is heavily frowned upon in Scripture, no?
I could agree with none of the options. There should have been an option that drinking wine is sometimes a sin.
To excess, or sometimes in great moderation...
Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
Rom 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Rom 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Rom 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Rom 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Rom 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
